Market Friday: I went For fish and Pepper

avatar

Greetings to this part of the world! I'm sure you're having bthr best of the weekend. Keep enjoying 👍.

This is my first time writing here and I'm glad about it. Also, it's the MarketFriday of the week hosted by @dswigle

I checked through my gallery and saw some photos I had snapped some weeks ago when I went to a local Market close to my house to get food items.
Honestly, I just felt like snapping that day because I haven't joined this platform then... so it's more like useless, but here am I using the pictures🤗.

Okay, I'm a guy that loves to utilize the kitchen in cooking real food, yes I love eating real cooked food and not junks. I love going to the market to get some fresh items such as pepper, pumpkin fish etc., to treat myself with a good meal.

This very day, I entered the market to get fish and dried grinded pepper. Immediately I entered the market environment, the market women where calling and beckoning on me to patronize them... they do this as their trading skills to "enchant" customers. Sometimes you may end up buying the things you didn't budgeted for🤗.

This was the place I bought fish, I went for the smoked fish because it suits what I prepared that day. The price haggling took us some minutes and I paid after the woman succumbed to my price.
The picture was taken afar so as not to capture the trader, some people don't like to be captured, so I was being careful to avoid embarrassment🤦.

I moved from there to the next spot that I bought dry grinded pepper. The pepper was tied in different quantities with varying price tags. I got the particular quantity that I want and left to prepare my food.

The market is a small one and crowd is not always seen unless it's a major market day.

I wish I snapped a lot of photos that day, but there's no issue, there's always a next time.

Thanks for reading 💝
All photos are originally mine💯

I hate going to the market. I get confused and wonder from which stall to buy goods. The worst part is when i think I've got a good bargain my mum or sis will say what i bought is too expensive.

I used to love market, to the extent that I haggle price more than the ladies🤣

I love going to the market too but with extra cash.. Also its only when I'm in the mood. Once I'm not in the mood, I will just give up for that day

I love buying in the market but I get shy easily because the enchantment from the vendors are rampant here. They'll give you good compliments for you to buy from them lol and it works every time.

There doesn't seem to be much vendors there but as long as it is not crowded and you have the basic things you need then that's the important one.

Happy #MarketFriday!

This week is a big weekend here in the US! This weekend is Labor Day. The calendar calls for the end of summer and we will be closing it out with a large family picnic. While I have read through all the #MarketFriday posts, most twice, just because I really enjoy most of the posts. I happen to love the fact that I get so many high-quality posts, and the effort shows through. This week, some of you won't get the personal message I enjoy writing. I am running behind on time and I don't want to skip anyone's upvote or the reading of your post.

I hope you know how much it means to me to have so many people joining in on the fun. Hopefully, you will have learned a few more different ways to present #MarketFriday easier to present. I know some have already been thinking outside of the box and some use their market day - either way is great and I love it either way. Thank you, thank you for supporting #MarketFriday!

I have personally found there is always so much to learn about people, where they live, and how things are done in different parts of the world. For me, reaching out across the globe and learning about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, has been such a rewarding experience. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the rituals, festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... and what is normal for us? There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. We do differ in many ways, which makes us interesting and unique, but, there are many ways in which are so much alike.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive or cheap? Did it go up or down? Please do not post 30 pictures with no words about them.Do not use pictures more than once in a post!
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess on some
    4. #MarketFriday must be your first tag.
Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
    5. PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  4. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.
As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
