Sleepless Nights
Kanu was living comfortably in his one room apartment untill his boss called him one day to plead if he can allow one of his newly employed workers to spend some days in his room untill he gets his own apartment. Kanu could not reject such request because his boss has been good to him, and beside, receiving a stranger is like receiving an angel and no one knows what tomorrow would bring.
He concurred with his boss to harbor the stranger for number of days he would be staying. His boss gave him William's contact(the stranger) and also forwarded Kanu's contact to William so the both can talk and get to know each other untill the day he'll arrive.
The next day around 5:00pm, Kanu received a call from William and he was told that he's around, Kanu directed him to the house address and within a short while, William arrived at the address.
He was warmly welcomed, he was showed showed the bathroom which was outside the room and William took his bath. Kanu served him the remaining beans left in his pot and William hungrily devoured it.
Time got to 7:30pm and William got dressed as someone that's going for a party, he told Kanu that he wants to visit some friends in the town and he'll be back soon. "Did you say visit? Who do you know in this town?" Kanu surprisingly asked him and he replied "Haaa! I'm not a novice in his town, I once schooled here and I know a lot of people". Kanu got more surprised by his reply and began to contemplate, "if he knows a lot of people, then why did he choose to stay with me in this small room?" He muttered in this mind and let everything slide.
William left after their discussion and did well to return by 9:30pm which was okay by Kanu because he doesn't sleep early.
Bedtime reached, Kanu prepared the bed and called him over to his bed space but he told Kanu to sleep that he'll join him later.
Kanu was in dream enjoying the beauty of the dreamland when he heard someone crying, he woke up to meet William praying and crying at the top of his voice, he checked time and he got more surprised when he saw that time was 2:00am. "Is this how he does his things, not minding if he's disturbing other neighbors?" Kanu muttered in his mind.
He decided to let him pray hoping that he'd finish on time but the more he waits, the more William pray & cry at the top of his voice. He felt like shunning him to stop but the thought of being seen as Antichrist held him back, and also, he didn't want to act rude to a stranger staying with him. So he allowed him pray all night and hoping that it doesn't continue the next day. It was difficult for Kanu to sleep all through the night, he was uncomfortable, rolling from one end of the bed to another.

Daybreak around 7:30am, William woke up to prepare for work, he did his things and behaved like nothing happened at night, Kanu was so shocked on the whole situation.
Night reached again, same thing happened and Kanu got really angry but could not confront him because he didn't want to appear rude & like an Antichrist to the 'angel'(stranger) living with him. He kept his cool.
This ordeal occured for four nights that William spent in his house and it was a miracle before Kanu's eyes when William told him that he's gotten a house and he'd be moving to his house. It was a big relief to him, he can now sleep without being disturbed.
After William had left, Kanu shared his experience with some people and they appraised him for being gentle enough to have allowed that for a whole complete four nights, they said if it were to be them, they would have shunned him from the first night.
Well, Kanu gained experience and learnt his lessons too.

Kanu is a very, very good person. William seems to be a bit of a grifter. He took advantage of Kanu's good nature. Still, if Kanu had behaved otherwise, he'd probably feel bad. As it is, he only lost four days and can feel really good about himself.
Your detailing the passage of the days works well here. We get the wearying effect of William's behavior as the days progress. You also do a good job in keeping the names straight from the start of the story. Otherwise, this could have been a confusing read. These experiences are really not far from reality, accepting strangers without knowing what can happen is a challenge that not everyone accepts.

Yeah, as for me, I now take it into check, once I observes any inconveniences of such from a stranger living with me, I'll quickly react. I shouldn't trade my peace with anything 😁.
