QUESTION OF THE WEEK 9.2 - "If there is a God why is there so much suffering in the world?

(Edited)

Despite the existence of definitions for God such as "perfect and endlessly knowledgeable being": We are unable to comprehend God.

Some religions believe that the earth is already hell for the righteous people and heaven for the bad. The world is a proving ground, and anything can happen to us at any time. As a result, it is natural to experience anguish and pain.

People cannot be harmed by a deity who does not exist. Evil and goodness are concepts that people have created on their own. What defines evil and what defines good? People's interactions with one another are classified as good or wicked.

It is advantageous to you. It is evil, etc., if it is not in your best interests. There is no need to go into depth because there has already been a great deal published on the subject.

Help if you notice someone who is hungry. If you encounter someone who is unemployed, assist them in finding work. Breadcrumbs should be left on the windowsill in the winter to assist the birds. Give as much food as you can to a hungry cat or dog.

The origin of this issue is due to man imbuing God with human qualities. Giving God human attributes by calling him good or bad is akin to calling him good or bad. Because it is a human trait to be nice or terrible. Attempting to give the universe's creator characteristics of his creations generates such questions. "If God is good, why does he allow evil to exist?" This is demonstrated by the question. For whom is the aforementioned virtue good, and for whom is the aforementioned evil evil? Of course, in man's opinion. As an illustration:

Consider a guy who torments a vulnerable victim. Human beings believe that those who are oppressed and unable are the ones who torture them. But isn't the torturer's badness relative? Some argue that because the tortured victim deserves it, the torturer isn't necessarily a bad person.

The thrashing of a man by four people is not humane. Man is harmed by violence. If, on the other hand, the victim has betrayed the country and is assaulted by four nationalists, the scenario is accepted and even applauded by the public. Someone who is not a nationalist and does not love the homeland, on the other hand, considers the beating of an innocent guy by four people to be horrible.

It's impossible to say whether anything is good or bad for humans. Even when there are such disparities between humans, it seems ludicrous that the deity who created the cosmos should engage in this.

Would people have noticed if the evil had been gone, on the other hand? Let's go over the same scenario once more.

People would not even be aware of the presence of violence if God deemed it to be a wicked deed and abolished it. No one would realize that the god had eliminated the violence in this circumstance. The existence of violence, in reality, elevates the significance of nonviolence. The beauty would not be recognized if the ugliness was not present. Would all humans be considered lovely if they could fly? It would become routine, and its worth would dwindle. A life devoid of evil would be equally useless.

The presence of evil is actually to serve a larger good, because evils help us to grow spiritually. Suffering serves as a counterpoint to goodness, making it more meaningful. Most of us will find life undesirable if there is no evil in our lives, and nothing will have a meaning (especially considering that this life is a test).

Evil exists to help us train ourselves and to give meaning to many of our lives. It motivates some of us to do more good, which is God's "big plan." Some people's indifference to the greater moral good is their own problem. We're not discussing individual actions, but rather the overall goal of evil. The goal of pain and suffering in our life is to nourish our souls.

We can only hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that all of our suffering will come to an end soon.
