Changes in the Axie Infinity Breeding Economy

Some really major changes which will affect both players and breeders are gonna happen in the Axie Infinity economy.

Skymavis, the studio/team behind the famous #Play2Earn game Axie Infinity announced that in less than 24 hours from now the cost of AXS needed for breeding will be reduced from 2 to 1 and the cost of SLP for breeding will significally go up.

My Thoughts About This Change

Yesterday I bought 2 new Axies and explained my future Axie Infinity plans.

I was willing to pay the 2 AXS (130$) to breed but I didn't care about the SLP breeding fee since I can earn those just by playing the game.

Having the AXS breeding fee reduced from 2 to 1 is a great change for new breeders like me cause I must buy the AXS needed for breeding so I can now breed cheaper.

Having the SLP breeding fee go up is a great change too cause now people who want to breed a lot of Axies will probably need to buy some SLP too. On top of that, the SLP used for breeding are burned so there are gonna be WAY less SLP out there since more SLP are required for breeding.

I overall think that this is a great change for both the short and long term Axie economy and in my opinion this should have happened sooned. Better too late than never though, right?

What do you think about this change? Will this affect the SLP price recover? Will this raise the price floor of Axies? We'll find out soon enough I guess hehe
