Garden Update #1 - Lettuce, Arugula, Onions, Celery and Spinach

(Edited)

10 days ago me and @illusivelf decided to start a garden so we can learn how to cultivate our own food, eath healthier and of course have fun exploring the vast world of planting! 10 days later I can safely say that taking care of the garden is such a fun thing to do hehehe!

Lettuce, onions & arugula

After digging the old dry soil, adding fresh one on top and mixing them into one with water we planted more or less 40 lettuce plants on one side, lots of arugula seeds on the other and around 50-60 onions in between both lettuce and arugula.

Planting

After watering and cleaning the place daily lettuce and arugula plants have grown quite a lot and looking healthy! Onions in between lettuce haven't yet popped up except a couple of em but in between arugula... that's a different story. Just take a look at the pic and you'll understand what I'm talking about!

Fun Fact : Only a few onions have popped up in between arugula by yesterday but today there were dozens of em hehe! Nature is AWESOME!

Arugula from a higher point of view hehe

Celery and Spinach

Celery is looking strong too! Not my favourite herb but definitely beautiful! We planted around 10 celery roots and all of them are doing more than fine, actually growing up super-fast! A couple of em look weak and can't get off the ground so I might need to add a stick or something for support, need to take a look into some tutorials (noob haha).

Celery is looking goooooooood

Spinach is on a "pop up spree" the past 4 days! It's growing everywhere and it will take spinach no more than 40 days from now to be ready! Daaaammn, I can't wait until the day I will make spinach rice with spinach and onions from my garden hehehe!

Gardening is fun

Gardening is definitely so much more fun than I originally imagined so I highly recommend everyone to give it a shot! You don't need to have a garden to plant, you can also use flowerpots and try it out! Seeing them plants grow is amazing and knowing you did that feels even more amazing!

If you wanna take a look at how we started our garden I suggest you take a look at @illusivelfs latest garden post and get some ideas!

Happy Farming everyone 🌿

Wow. Seems you are really enjoying your gardening. I can see you are also planting a variety of plants which is perfect for personal consumption. 😊

We also plant here, mostly flowers, on pots as we have very limited space.

Keep it up.
