Good times, when kids could play outside. Spontaneous photos of kids playing in the park.
It's been barely 3 months since the pandemic outbreak in Nigeria. It doesn't seem like much time has passed, but it has. Some days, it feels like it's been a year since it started. And that's because my life has been devoid of human interactions, although I barely engage.
While reminiscing today, I thought about the kids that are forced to stay at home. All the schools are shutdown, recreational centres are shut down, even the parks too. In my process of reminiscing, I remembered the photos of children I captured while they were playing at the park, and I'll love to share;
I wonder how these children are coping with the current situation. From my observation, they didn't look like children with wealthy parents. That means that the park was the major or even the only way they could have fun.
I hope this all end soon. I'd love to experience the good times again.
The photos of those children were totally spontaneous, although they noticed me and gave me attention. That day, I was hanging out with some of my friends who are photographers. We wanted to chill out and explore creating photographs under natural lighting conditions.
We gave the outing a name; "Chasing the tale of natural light". What made it fun too, was the fact that there was five of us[photographers], and we were shooting one model. Oh! We had company too, that's the guy holding the reflector in the photo. I took the shot, so I'm not in it.
I desperately want to have experiences like that again.
