Hanoi , Vietnam Street Foods & Military Museum.
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam with a population of just over 8 million people it has a very rich culture dating back with the Chinese and the French. It is a very energetic city with lots of good vibes the nights especially when the sun goes down the city comes more alive with street food vendors everywhere you look the locals and expats flow into the streets making it feel like the whole city is in a party mood.
Whether you are on the streets during the day or night you will never starve if you haven't try street food in Vietnam it's worth just going to Vietnam just for the street foods there is a saying "Don't leave Hanoi without trying street foods". Dine on the wild and wonderful at every corner.
I never eaten some much noodle in my life till i tasted the street noodles in Hanoi , i can't even begin to tell you how fresh and tasty it was the mix of the broth whether it was chicken , pork or beef just melted in my mouth and with the crunchy flower of the bean sprouts and basil , i was eating a bowl of noodles at almost every corner of Hanoi like everyone else was doing couching on the streets of Hanoi and enjoying there noodle soups.
No matter what we ate fried spring with vegetables or spring rolls wrap with a thin sheet of noodle pastry dip with some peanut sauce and chili just everything had extremely superb flavor that kept you going back for more even the ice-creams had a very fruity taste with bits of fruits , coconut milk and ice mixed in to cool that heat of you.
This was a nice looking Rooster we uncounted he was getting well look after and feed maybe he was going to be the next cuisine chicken broth soup but he was to good looking to be slaughtered 😁
No matter what part of town you were in there was eating going on in every street and every alleyway and it was making me hungry every time at looked at people eating the streets were just flowing with nice food odors like been in one big kitchen.
If you wanted your shoes cleaned or repaired this was available there on the streets have a noddle while your getting your shoes cleaned up or repaired how cool is that great service 😁
There shots of black coffee in the mornings really got you buzzing don't know what they were putting in them but it was the best shots of coffee i ever tasted i do think the recipe was handed down from the French people living there.
The views around the banks of the Red River where amazing with all the Chinese bridges that were built in the days with nice gardens around the river and plenty of fresh fruits to be eaten along the banks of the Red River.
Like every Asia country in the world they all have huge markets everywhere to cater for there population of people but i love wandering through the traditional markets down the small alleyways with narrow shop houses and get to see the real local foods and some things might even shock you and also you get to meet the real locals , experience the real culture of this beautiful country.
After a wander around the local markets and a few bowls of soup we jump into a taxi and we were heading over to the Vietnam Military History Museum i love looking at old stuff especially planes even though i don't know much about there makes and models i just love looking at antique and vintage planes and old weaponry.
Unsurprisingly much of the focus here i noticed was upon the French and American conflicts. I can't imagine that there's collection anywhere else in the world of US helicopters, planes, and other military vehicles that this museum had.
The sight of huge airplanes and helicopters and fighter jets and missiles just adds to the whole excitement. Once you enter the museum it's a plethora of knowledge. They’ve displayed extensively about all the wars Vietnam has suffered over the years.
I've constantly been captivated by Military and war history, watching films based on war. It was a total treat for me to find out all of the military equipment along with ammunition. Everybody may not like it almost as i did. Though its an extremely cool spot to enjoy.
I loved this structure built from the wreckage of French and American planes R.I.P ❤️

I'm glad that you love our street foods. Yeah...The most thing I miss when away VN is food. Did you eat Banh My? Everytime I landed VN, I rushed to grab Banh My and a CuP Of coffee...MY favourate combo 😂
The market on the street looks great and the food looks delicious too, although I must say here and there there are food that I don't know and I won't easily try. (Those things looking like worms!!)
Very nice and interesting post.
Thank you @rynow it was a real experience i never thought Vietnamese food was so tasty and not filling you just can keep eating it...yeah i gave the worms a miss i think they were for the fisherman.

got me hungry now. I love vietnamese food. We were supposed to be headed to vietnam this year but alas everyones plans have been dashed innit. Great post man!
I know the feeling i couldn't stop eating over there i never eat that much when i am back home just all yummy and not filling 👍
I hope will be all good next year and we can start traveling again without all the dramas...lol
that would be grand. I still sit and think to myself how in the world did we get to this point. Unbelievable. If they'd wrote it as a script hollywood would have said "what! thats the shittest pandemic story ever!"
I think Hollywood will be looking at this in a different way now lots of $$$$$ to be made from this now 🤭
If Michael Bay directs it they can jazz it up with lots of explosions haha
Haha , you never know right it's out there 😁
Wow, this is so cool. I'm impressed and intrigued with your photos.
Thank you @roger5120 it was a real experience been there and learned a lot about there culture 🙂
You're most welcome @kohsamui99
Yeah, that's the beauty of travel.
You get to learn so much about the place/country.
And enjoy.
This is true and we are all missing travel at the moment i had a trip booked to Phuket , Thailand next month but we had to cancel out just hope things return to norm soon.
Yeah, with the status of covid still lingering around and unclear... better just to be on the safe side until you know for sure that all is safe.
Hope everything will be cleared up soon.
Yep better to be safe then sorry really do hope things get back to the norm but it is going to take a couple of years unfortunately before it all recovers again.
A couple of years? Oh, my - that sounds like forever. But it'll eventually come.
Still hoping it'll be sooner though.
Have a great day.
We are all relying on a safe vaccine with no side effect before the public gains any confidence into returning to the norm but at the moment just keep enjoying every moment the best way you can 😊
Oh, you have nailed it right on the head! The markets are amazing there, but, the most wonderful is the markets between the streets (or down the alleys to be more precise!)where the locals buy and the prices reflect it.
Do you like noodles? If you don't love noodles, you will surely find that you DO before you leave. I can say that I used to "assume the position" of squatting in Asia. It is the only practical way to eat on the street. I have learned how to "Walk like an Egyptian" when it comes to traveling and I am pretty sure you have too.
The markets just defy words. For anyone who has been to an Asian country, you quickly realize that the amount of food you see is commensurate with the population and that many, many people take most of their meals out on the street. I cannot say I blame them. It is probably cheaper to do that than to cook at home. What a hardship says my dish-pan hands!
The museum looks awesome, but, I have been told it is out of the area and no hours posted. At any rate, yet, you have some really fine pictures of it. I actually think it would be interesting to go there. I like planes. And helicopters.
And I love that rooster!!! Thank you so much!!! You never disappoint! There have been some really interesting ways that #MarketFriday has been presented, all of which adds all the more charm to the mixing bowl. The challenge points out our differences, but, then, it also shows many things our cultures share. When the day is done, it shows off how human we all are and how we basically all care about our families and others. I love the experience of it all. I appreciate the love and support given to #MarketFriday! Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a piece of your world, and I have to say, people are interested in is seeing it. This entire challenge has opened up the world to me and so many others. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I hope you have a fabulous day! Hive on!!

I was a gymnast up until college, so squatting was second nature. :))
