In Binh Dinh Province there is a lot of beautiful green lush lowlands and rice paddy fields which have bicycle paths leading you to little rivers , streams and the mountains we decided to rent bikes with a tour group for a day tour with a few extra activities involved.

vt-6.jpg

This is a ceremony that a rice farmer in Vietnam will do with his Buffalo praying for a good years harvest.

vt-14.jpg

The tour included riding through some rice paddy fields enjoying the sceneries of nature around us also the tour guide was explaining to us how the rice was grown and harvest and the history of the province.

The tour also included going to the Marble Mountains so after riding for about 15 km through all these beautiful rice paddy fields we got to the other side and are put on to these wooden boats to take us across to see the marble mountains.

Once reaching our destination down river which was only like a 30 minutes boat ride by these powerful women foot peddling these row boats they definitely have some built up calf muscles we stop for some lunch before heading into the caves of the mountain marble.

After an amazing lunch of tasty corn and bbq chicken with seafood we headed of to the Marble Mountains they are made up of a cluster of five hills made from limestone and marble and have caves in the mountains that you can climb up into pretty rough steps climbing up but intriguing to get inside.

vt-21.jpg

vt-23.jpg

vt-25.jpg

Once in the mountain caves you will find some amazing religious marble sculptures and even bullet holes within the caves from the Vietnam war with America were the U.S troops use to hide and relax but were fired upon by the Vietnam soldiers.

The Marble Mountains came to be according to ancient folklore, a dragon emerged from the water on Non Nuoc Beach and laid an egg. A thousand days and a thousand nights followed before the egg hatched, and out stepped a beautiful girl. The fragments of the shell were left on the beach and eventually grew into the five mystical Marble Mountains.source

The Temple grounds and gardens were just fascinating revolving around Vietnamese , Japanese and Chinese architecture and sculpture and done in colorful polished marble showing the most color effect. This was really a highlight of my tour in Binh Dinh seeing these marble temples really blow my mind out thinking about the amount of hours gone into this incredible masterpiece was unimaginable.

Amazing cycling adventure seeing local life as it is, then exquisite time exploring the mountains that keep secrets of the past.

Marble temples would most definitely be a highlight in stunning architecture surrounded by ponds with beautiful lily pads and blooms.

Thanks for sharing this, found on #amazingnature

There are some regions with strife many never venture to, beauty hidden within, always a pity when history is lost or destroyed.

Wow! This is a beautiful post of Vietnam! 😍 I never thought Vietnam could be this beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Is this a pre-COVID adventure? Tour across the rice paddies amazes me! Hahaha! I cannot imagine it much, because we also have rice fields here but we don't cross it using boats. Hehehe. Is it a river between rice paddies?

I enjoyed this a lot! Thank you so much! 😍

Thank you @gingbabida i found Vietnam to be a very green healthy country with lots of beauty and green rice paddies and yes this was a river running along side the paddy fields i suppose that's why they looked so green and healthy.

This trip was over a year ago and looking forward to another trip there when all this covid-19 scenario is over 😊

This is such an incredibly amazing adventure in your lives. I am constantly amazed at how the face of Vietnam has evolved as a country. In the first part of your trip, taking the bike tour was a great way to really walk the countryside and get to know it better.

Interesting to be able to witness the blessing of the rice paddy ceremony. I only hope that these ancient traditions do not die out with this generation. Many are not interested in saving the culture, but, want to move up and not be left behind. There is so much to be learned from the old ways and we have recently found how a little less modern things can truly clean up Planet Earth.

The boats are such a part of their way of life and yes! Can you imagine the muscles on those women? I believe one of them could pop your head off if she was wanting to. :)

Many people go to countries, many never really see them. I am so glad that you designed your trip around exploring the culture and its architecture! The Marble Mountains are stunning, in a very rustic/exotic kind of way that Asian cultures do so well. I stand in amazement at how these things were carved out of the hillside, without the benefit of modern ways, keeping the nature of the elements intact. I stand mesmerized by the beauty of the marble architecture and am so glad that you took the time to separate and write about your experience. Thank you so much!

I realize the effort it takes to join the challenge! I appreciate the love and support you are giving to #MarketFriday! Without you and people like yourself, I wouldn't be able to have such a successful challenge! I know that at this time, it is harder to find something to fit the challenge. On a good day, it takes a lot of time and effort to be part of, so it means a lot to me that you participate. I hope you know that there is great latitude in what Market means. It can be typical of where you shop for food, or it can be a unique place that you visit. Thank you again for being a part of all this and I hope that you will, indeed, have a great day and week ahead! As you know and have shown you do amazing #MarketFriday posts, this is definitely for you, however, if any of your friends are in doubt about how to participate, this should clear it all up!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

How to Participate:

Go to the market! Any market will do! Food, clothing, plant, or animal, if you wish. You can go to the zoo, an art auction, and restaurants. Anywhere or anything that you pay money for any kind of service.

Tell us a little bit about the market, what brought you here?
Post the picture.(s)
Don’t forget to use the MarketFriday Community #196308 to post from or hashtag it! #MarketFriday by @dswigle If you hashtag it, drop the link to your post here so I can easily find them.

Vietnam has come a long way and i hear of more people now going to Vietnam not only to see the beauty of the country it also has every available nationality of foods and a lot cheaper then a lot of other Asia countries in every way we are planning another trip there sometime next year when everything is back to normal.

My intention of visiting other countries is always to explore and get in amongst the nature i love hiking and mountains and landscapes around beaches.

Thank you for you exhilarating comment was very interesting to read and hope these younger generation people don't get to lost with today's technology and forget there cultures.
