Singer Eleven Airstream
Singer Eleven Airstream
The Singer Eleven is a four-door saloon produced between 1934-37 by Singer & Co in the UK powered by a 4-cyl 1459cc (40hp) engine with a 4-speed Vulcan-Sinclair (clutch-less) fluid coupling transmission (Perm-Drive).
Douglas Fitzmaurice at Airstream of London produced alternative aerodynamic streamline bodywork which would be available as a streamline eleven model from Singer powered by a 4-cyl 1584cc engine (1934-36).
It's not confirmed how many Singer Elevens were produced with the Airstream bodywork (100?) but very few survive (2?). In 1936 Singer & Co was dissolved and the business transferred to Singer Motors Ltd.
