The Start of Investment at Rabona - A Blockchain Based Football Manager Game

Being a football fan is one of the happiest moments of my life. I live somewhere in Asia where football is a sport not so known by many. I haven't played much about the game, but I'm well aware of the things happening in the football world especially in Europe, where the sport there is really a big business.

Thanks to azircon, I've stumbled across a new Hive blockchain-based game which allows you to manage your own football club - everything. From the players, stadiums, training, competitions, upgrade, and the finances. I'm new to this kind of game, especially on the managerial part. But it will be an awesome experience for sure.

Nuff said, Rabona is a football/soccer manage game. Scout, train, and trade players, build and expand your stadium, and become the winner of leagues and tournaments.

Since it is a managerial game, you need funds for everything. That's why you need to buy their starting pack of $5 USD paid in Hive and Rabona will give you 285,000 RBN (RBN is the currency). The said starter pack will also jumpstart your career.

The Start of My Journey

After purchasing the starter pack, I was given 11 starting players at the age of 17-19, it is set at that age because these players will get weak and retire soon as they grow older so it was designed for you to utilize their maximum potential. Every year their stat increase for their age and at the age of 29 (and above), their abilities/stats decreases.

These players are having a salary of 400 RBN each which costs me 4,800 RBN in total.

Stadium and Infrastructure

At the start, you'll have to pay for the construction (and improvement) of your club's assets. This comes with the stadium, parking lot, training center, Shop, Hotel, Catering, Office Building, Building Yard, and Youth Academy. Well, it's your option to upgrade it to level one. But as you level them up, there are possible positive implications.

I was dumb enough to think of upgrading them to level 1 doesn't cost me only to find out I was left with around 166,000 RBN - no way! I've upgraded the Training Center, Stadium, Parking lot, Shop Capacity, Hotel, and Catering Capacity to level 1.

The next season starts approximately 2 days from now and I have to make the team ready to compete. I'm not so sure about how the table would look like (and the teams in my current division). I'll be digging on it for the next couple of hours to see how much I can prepare to compete for the upcoming season.

As I understood, there has been a plan to add Rabona (RBN) to Hive-Engine soon. From there, players can buy and sell their RBN tokens got from the game. They'll get RBN from completing tasks, marketing their players, stadium, and other infrastructure income so it's gonna be exciting.

One good thing for me about listing RBN to Hive-Engine is that this game will finally place its position as one of the Dapps of Hive. I'm not saying Hive-Engine is the reason but listing it on HE creates a sense of trust for everyone that finally we can interact with the token.

The Investment Part

Investment and ROI for Rabona will be long-term for me - I'm not thinking of it as of now. I believe taking this game seriously and dedicate your time to managing this club will be the key to generate ROI soon. But right now there's only one thing in my mind - Supremacy. I wanted to compete at the top and be known as a great FC Korver Barcelona club.

Invest now, compete with the best, and enjoy the fruits later. There has been a lot of teams joining now and I am actually a little bit too late. For other football fans out there, you should definitely check this out and see you at the bottom lol.
