El Parque de los jóvenes/ The Young Park (Esp-Eng)
Hola, mis amigos. Bienvenidos a mi glog. Un saludo afectuoso para todos, en especial a los viajeros y curiosos de esta comunidad.
A la ciudad de Artemisa voy, al menos, dos veces en el mes, y siempre descubro algo nuevo y atractivo. En esta ocasión, quiero mostrarles un parque donde se respira arte, vida y juventud. Remodelado y pintado recientemente, este sitio se ha convertido en el espacio perfecto para la creación de los jóvenes artemiseños, es el espacio cultural, por excelencia, de la Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS).
Hello, my friends. Welcome to my glog. Warm greetings to everyone, especially to the travelers and the curious in this community.
I travel to the city of Artemisa at least twice a month, and I always discover something new and appealing. On this occasion, I want to show you a park where you can breathe art, life, and youth. Recently remodeled and painted, this site has become the perfect space for the creations of young people from Artemisa; it is the cultural space, par excellence, of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS).
Allí, convergen todas las expresiones artísticas, desde la música en todas sus variantes, la literatura, la poesía y el teatro hasta las artes plásticas. Varias veces al mes, sobretodo los fines de semana, este lugar es "asaltado" por una multitud deseosa de entretenimiento y formas de recreación.
Here, all artistic expressions converge, from music in all its variants, literature, poetry, and theater to the visual arts. Several times a month, especially on weekends, this place is "stormed" by a crowd eager for entertainment and recreational activities.
El Parque de los jóvenes, que tambien fue llamado con anterioridad el Parque de los viejos, se encuentra hubicado en la intersección de las calles Central y República, justo donde termina el hermoso Boulevard de Artemisa, sitio del ya les hablé en otro momento anterior.
The Young People's Park, which was also previously called the Old People's Park, is located at the intersection of Central and República streets,right where the beautiful Artemisa Boulevard ends, a place I told you about on a previous occasion.
Con la creación de este parque, que según supe antes era llamado el parque de los chinos, el arte joven estará ahora más cerca del pueblo. Aprovechando lo ya existente, constructores y artistas del Fondo de Bienes Culturales, realizaron una reparación al lugar y le incorporaron algunos elementos estéticos y decorativos que ahora aumentan su belleza: una fuente clásica de tres pisos; dos esculturas dedicadas a la mujer y algunos murales. Estos se insertaron entre el verdor del parque, a la sombra de viejos y nuevos árboles.
With the creation of this park,which I learned was previously called the "Park of the Chinese," young art is now closer to the people. Taking advantage of the existing structures, builders and artists from the Cultural Heritage Fund repaired the site and incorporated aesthetic and decorative elements that now enhance its beauty: a classic three-tiered fountain; two sculptures dedicated to women and some murals. These were integrated into the park's greenery, under the shade of old and new trees.
Aquí destaca el verde por todas partes, un verde claro y alegre, sinónimo de luz y esperanza. Abunda la vegetación con grandes árboles que regalan sus sombras amables y misericordiosas. Yo misma me senté un rato a descansar y admirar el paisaje de esta ciudad encantadora.
Here, the color green stands out everywhere, a light and cheerful green, synonymous with light and hope. Vegetation abounds with large trees that cast their kind and merciful shadows. I myself sat for a while to rest and admire the landscape of this charming city.
Este parque es un espacio donde se estrechan los vínculos con la población y se difunde su arte. Cuenta con una gran tarima o escenario para la presentación de los artistas. La programación de actividades responde a los gustos estéticos de la Asociación y está pensada para dar vida al parque con todas la manifestaciones con música alternativa, lectura de poesía, conciertos, talleres y hasta teatro.
This park is a space where ties with the community are strengthened and its art is disseminated. It features a large stage for artist presentations. The activity schedule caters to the aesthetic tastes of the Association and is designed to bring the park to life with all kinds of manifestations like alternative music, poetry readings, concerts, workshops, and even theater.
Fueron los mismos miembros de la AHS quienes dieron vida al parque, pues de sus manos creadoras salieron los rostros de los Hermanos Saíz, que hoy dan la bienvenida a los visitantes. El parque de la AHS respira aires de cultura y se inserta en la vida de los artemiseños como una opción más para la recreación y la difusión de nuestras raíces culturales.
It was the AHS members themselves who brought the park to life, as from their creative hands emerged the faces of the Saíz Brothers, which now welcome visitors. The AHS park breathes an air of culture and integrates into the lives of Artemisa's residents as another option for recreation and the promotion of our cultural roots.
En apariencias, este es un lugar tranquilo y apacible, pero cuando se hacen presentaciones, resulta muy concurrido. Se extiende como un manto verde y fresco. Bajo las copas de los árboles, el aire olía a tierra húmeda y a hierba recién cortada. Caminé por sus senderos, acompañada por el canto disperso de los pájaros.
In appearance, this is a quiet and peaceful place, but when there are presentations, it becomes very crowded. It stretches out like a fresh, green blanket. Under the tree canopies, the air smelled of damp earth and freshly cut grass. I walked along its paths, accompanied by the scattered songs of birds.
El sol se filtraba entre las hojas, dibujando patrones raros y cambiantes que se proyectan en el suelo. Me senté en un banco durante un rato y luego en el borde de la fuente donde me tomé un selfie. Fue un momento de paz profunda, una reconexión simple y necesaria, una pausa sobre el ritmo acelerado de la vida. Este recinto es un refugio verde y abierto dentro del gris de la ciudad, un sitio que no puedes dejar de ver, si visitas Artemisa.
The sun filtered through the leaves, drawing strange and changing patterns that projected onto the ground. I sat on a bench for a while and then on the edge of the fountain where I took a selfie. It was a moment of deep peace, a simple and necessary reconnection, a pause from the fast pace of life. This place is a green and open refuge within the city's gray, a site you cannot miss if you visit Artemisa.
