A ritual and belief of some people in rural Northern Thailand.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post, I’ll take you through the beliefs of some people in the rural northern region of my country. It is a traditional Lanna (Traditional Northern Thai) belief of some people in rural Northern to worship and make offerings to ancestral spirits (People in the North refer to ancestral spirits as Phi Pu Ya) to ask for forgiveness or fulfill a vow when descendants recover from an illness. This traditional Lanna beliefs and customs often feature ritual dances to pay respect to spirits and ancestors, which is called Ram Phi Fon or Fon Phi Mot. Fon Phi Mot is a traditional Lanna ritual dance performed to pay respect to ancestral spirits. Today, some people in my village held a ritual based on this belief. It is a ritual held from morning until noon at the village's ancestral spirit hall. Although my family and I did not join the ritual ourselves, but we visited to observe the vibrant atmosphere and this traditional folk dance (Ram Phi Fon or Fon Phi Mot). I have also captured some atmosphere to share in this post.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

It is nice that this tradition still happens until now, even if we are in the modern World the traditions are still doing.
