Driving along rural roads for a scenic view to find a new lunch spot with my wife.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. It's the last school day of this week for my autistic son. With the weekend starting tomorrow, My wife and I really need some unwind time before stepping into full-time parenting duty this Saturday and Sunday. We spent our morning clearing out weeds and grass in the home garden. For the late morning, we planned to take a scenic drive along the rural roads to discover a restaurant I've never been to before. This time, I drove my wife along the rural roads in Mae Kha and Mae Ngon sub-districts. We ate at many restaurants in these two sub-districts, but there are still plenty of local places we haven't tried yet. Since we're aiming for simple local restaurants, it's fun to hunt for hidden restaurants in these sub-districts. These are mostly lesser-known, home-based restaurants located within various villages, recognized exclusively by the local residents. In addition to finding a restaurant for lunch, we’d love to drive around to enjoy the scenery and local atmosphere. We passed through a few villages and came across a few restaurants, but none appealed to us. We also passed by various farms and fields. The view and atmosphere here are amazing, particularly the rice fields. The green rice crops look so vibrant and beautiful at the moment.

Eventually, we came across a nice noodle shop and dropped in for a meal. It’s an unnamed stall set right by a rural road in the Mae Ngon subdistrict. It's not a beautiful noodle shop, but we really enjoy the rustic roadside and riverside atmosphere.

This is another great noodle meal for us. It’s delicious and budget-friendly. The simple drinks here are also cheap and tasty.

I sincerely want to recommend this noodle shop, but we no longer remember the directions. I just know it is in Mae Ngon Subdistrict. If we get the chance to visit this noodle shop again, I will definitely share a full review and directions in my next post. These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post.
