Hello everyone. This post I want to share the simple foods that my wife cooked from chemical free vegetables that I grow in the home garden. Today my wife just had free time to cook food for the family at home. There are only a few types of vegetables I grow in the home garden that can be harvested. What kind of vegetables did the wife harvest in the garden to cook today's foods? Take a look.

The six chili spur pepper plants in the home garden bore fruit and the peppers began to wither. So she harvests the chili spur pepper to cook for today before the other vegetables in the home garden. And this chili spur pepper can only cook Nam Prik Num (Northern thai chili spur pepper dip). Nam Prik Num is a local food in the northern of Thailand.
And other vegetables that the wife harvested in the home garden to use as ingredients for cooked Nam Prik Num include culantro and spring onions.

Ingredients for Nam Prik Num (Northern thai chili spur pepper dip).

  1. chili spur pepper
  2. culantro
  3. spring onions
  4. shallots
  5. garlic
  6. tomato
  7. fish sauce
  8. MSG

How to cook Nam Prik Num (Northern thai chili spur pepper dip)

Grill chili spur pepper, shallots, garlic and tomato in a pan. When these vegetables are grilled until soften, turn off the gas stove.

Then peel all these vegetables.

And pound the garlic and shallots in a mortar first.

Next pound the chili spur pepper in a mortar.

And pound the tomatoes in a mortar.

Then season with MSG and fish sauce.

The last step is to put the cut coriander and scallions in a mortar and pound until mix thoroughly.

This Nam Prik Num (Northern thai chili spur pepper dip) is mostly eaten with boiled vegetables. And today my wife harvested some vegetables to boil and eat with Nam Prik Num. And she harvests green brinjal, zucchini, eggplant to boil and eat.

Cut the green brinjal, zucchini, eggplant into pieces and rinse with water. Then boil the cut green brinjal, cut zucchini and cut eggplant in a pot until all the vegetables are cooked.

Besides Nam Prik Num (Northern thai chili spur pepper dip) is popular to eat with boiled vegetables, it is also popular to eat with sticky rice. Today so my wife cooked sticky rice and pandan leaves. Cooking sticky rice with pandan leaves to add aroma.

Additionally, my wife grills chicken and pork in a pan too. Before grilling pork and chicken with a pan. She marinates pork and chicken with pork flavour seasoning powder, salt, pepper and sauce. Then grill the pork and chicken in a pan until cooked.
