Travel to Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai, Part 3 : Temples of hill tribe with Tai-Yai people and views.

Hello everyone. My wife and I's trip to Mae Ai District was a few days ago. My main aim was to visit the sacred places in this district. But we didn't plan this trip. Once at Mae Ai District we will travel to the rural roads and I drive around on rural roads in Mae Ai District. And this post is part 3 for travel to Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai.

After I drove around on a rural roads, but I didn't know what number the rural roads was. Until reaching Chiang Mai rural road No. 3023. We see Wat Phra That Saeng Rung and Wat Phra That Sop Fang. But we had already visited these two temples last year. Therefore, we did not stop at both temples. If friends are interested in both temples, you can see my old post.

Then we traveled to Mae Mueang Noi village. And we know that this village has a sacred place in this village : Wat Mae Mueang Noi. So we immediately visited this temple. This temple is about 60 kilometers from my house. And the temple is located on a low hill. When we arrived at the temple. This temple is a small temple. The temple has no walls, temple door, arches and sculptures.

Inside the temple there is only a courtyard with not much space and a buddha image hall (viharn). The buddha image hall (viharn) of this temple is different from the buddha image hall (viharn) of other temples. The temple's buddha image hall (viharn) is made of bricks plastered with plaster and painted white in the style of Tai-Yai mix hilltribe. Decorated simply with only paintings in front of the buddha image hall (viharn).

Then, we traveled on country road 3023 again. And about 2 kilometers away we see Wang Hai village. This village is a village where the Tai-Yai and hill tribe people live mostly, similar to Mae Mueang Noi Village. And the sacred place of Wang Hai Village is Wat Wang Hai. This temple is also located on a hill too. And inside the temple there is only a buddha image hall (viharn) like Wat Mae Mueang Noi. This buddha image hall (viharn) is built from bricks plastered with cement and decorated in a Tai-Yai style mixed with hill tribes like Wat Mae Mueang Noi. But different in the painting in front of the buddha image hall (viharn).

The temple area can see the view. The view in this area is of Wang Hai Village and the farms of the people in the village.
