Travel to Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai, Part 4 : Wat Chai Mongkol (temple).

Hello everyone. Tuesday with pollution, today I'm a little sick. And how are you? In this post, I changed the location from the garden and kitchen at home to a beautiful temple.
Mae Ai District also has sacred sites with beautiful architecture and statues. That is Wat Chai Mongkol, this temple is another temple that my wife and I like and impressed. We haven't been to this temple for a long time.
Trip to Mae Ai District several days ago, I had the opportunity to pass this temple. Of course, we immediately stopped by this temple.
This time I will take everyone to see this temple again. What has changed at this temple from the last time a long time ago we visited? Take a look.

When we arrived at this temple, we see a beautiful large temple entrance arch. Even though we haven't visited this temple for a long time. But this arch still looks new and beautiful as always.

Two lion statues on the wall pillars between the entrance as well. The lion statue still looks new and beautiful.

Additionally, the temple has many statues. I don't remember what statues were in this temple last time. And our visit to the temple this time. Are there more statues than last time? But the many statues in the temple still impress and enjoy us as always. I hope everyone thinks like us.🤔

Wat Chai Mongkol was built in A.D. 1923 or 101 years ago. But the temple has new and beautiful architecture. That is the buddha image hall (viharn) and ordination hall (ubosot) of the temple.
The buddha image hall (viharn) will be larger than the ordination hall (ubosot). And the buddha image hall (viharn) is an architecture for religious ceremonies of villagers and monks. But the ordination hall (ubosot) is an architecture for religious ceremonies only for monks.

The buddha image hall (viharn) is built of bricks plastered with cement and painted white. Decorated with beautiful gold color stucco patterns in Lanna style. And on the railing of the stairs at the entrance to the buddha image hall (viharn) are two serpent statues.

The ordination hall (ubosot) is built of bricks plastered with cement and painted white. Decorated with beautiful gold color stucco patterns in Lanna style too. But the pattern is different from the buddha image hall (viharn). Additionally, the front of the ordination hall (ubosot) is decorated with oil paintings. And on the railing of the stairs at the entrance to the ordination hall (ubosot) were two black statues. I don't know what kind of animals they were.

The bell tower of this temple is beautifully built. And we love the temple's bell tower.

The large gong and bell are another highlight of the temple that we like.

And near the entrance to the temple there are two tall and big trees. I think these two trees are definitely more than a hundred years old. Everyone looked at the size of these trees with my wife.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

🌏 Wat Chai Mongkol is located in Mae Na Wang Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.
