Traveling alone from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, a distance of approximately 813 kilometers.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. I haven't been back to my hometown in Bangkok in a while. Yesterday evening I go to Bangkok alone. My wife and kids are in Chiang Mai and didn't come with me. It's about 813 kilometers away, so I can't take my autistic son with me. He doesn't like to travel. This time I'm going to Bangkok to visit my mother. And to pay respect to ancestors (Qingming Festival) this Sunday too. But I take the bus to Bangkok. I traveled from Chiang Mai yesterday evening at 5:20 PM and arrived in Bangkok this morning at approximately 5:04 AM. This journey takes approximately 12 hours. Initially I intended to photograph the scenery and atmosphere of this journey. But I get carsick, so I only take some photos on the roads of Chiang Mai. It's the road winds over the plateau. And I couldn't take photos of the scenery and atmosphere on the roads of other provinces.

The atmosphere on highway 107, the Chiang Mai route, while waiting for the bus to Bangkok.

The atmosphere at the Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal (5:05 AM).

Finally I traveled from the Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal to my mother's house. I stopped for lunch before arriving at my mother's house. I ate lunch around 9:40 AM.

When I arrived at my mother's house, I was still feeling carsick and tired from the journey. So I didn't go anywhere and relaxed at my mother's house. These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

Thank you for sharing your journey. Traveling such a long distance alone must have been both tiring and meaningful. It’s understandable about your son, and your decision shows care and love as a parent. Visiting your mother and honoring your ancestors during Qingming is truly special. Even with the challenges, your dedication stands out. Wishing you a safe stay in Bangkok and a heartfelt time with your family.
