Visit Wat Mathuravas, Fang District, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hello everyone. My goal and my wife's goal is to visit all the sacred places in the district where I live and nearby districts. And I intend and want to share all the sacred places in the district where I live and all nearby districts with everyone too.
We only spent a limited time visiting those places, when our son and granddaughter were at school. If the kids are at home, we can't go anywhere. Therefore, we can only travel to nearby places that are not more than 200 kilometers away.

And this post I will share an experience from several days ago, when I visited a temple in the district where I live. My wife and I had the opportunity to visit a temple in Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict. This temple is called Wat Mathuravas.
Wat Mathuravas is a small rural temple with not much space. And this temple is the smallest temple we have ever visited. The temple is located in Tha Tad Village, Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict, Fang District. And this temple is a sacred place for religious ceremonies of the people in this village.

The name plate of the village and Some atmospheres in this village (Area in front of the temple).

Even though Wat Mathuravas is a small temple. But this temple is quite old and is more than 100 years old. This temple received permission to be established as a temple in year A D. 1902 or 122 years ago. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in year A D. 1973 or 51 years ago.

There are 2 entrances to the temple. And both entrances do not have arches. The front entrance and back entrance only have two lion statues on pillars between the entrances. These lion statues are painted blue and decorated with gold color.

There are two name plates for the temple, located at the area front and back entrances. The first temple name plate was spelled in Thai. But the second name plate, I think, should be spelled in Lanna. (ancient northern language).

The only architectural highlight of the temple is the buddha image hall (viharn). The buddha image hall (viharn) is made of bricks plastered with cement. But I think that the buddha image hall (viharn) of this temple is decorated with colorful stucco patterns that are different from other temples. Which looks beautiful and outstanding. And the front of the buddha image hall (viharn) is also decorated with paintings. On both railings of the stairs at the entrance to the buddha image hall (viharn) are green serpent statues with gold color pattern decoration.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
