Visit Wat Mok Cham, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hello everyone. This morning is another day of enjoyment for me and my wife. We plan to go to the temple in Mae Ai district. After we finished sending the kids to school. This temple is about 40 kilometers from our house. This temple is called Wat Mok Cham or Wat Mork Jarm. Before I take everyone to see this temple. I would like to share a brief story of the temple. This temple is located in Mai Mok Cham Village, Tha Ton Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai. This temple was just built and has been allowed to establish a temple for less than 100 years. Built in A.D. 1939 or 85 years ago. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in A.D. 1997 or 27 years ago. In addition, Wat Mok Cham was also praised as an example development temple in A.D. 1993 too.

Today we travel on Highway 107, route from Fang District to Mae Ai District. And I took some photos while traveling on Highway 107. And for part of the journey, we had to travel in the mountains. Because this temple is located on a low mountain.

After quite tired from traveling. When we arrived at Wat Mok Cham, This temple make us feel alright. The atmosphere in Wat Mok Cham, Most of the architecture is built in the Tai-Yai art style. Because this temple is located in a community of Tai-Yai people living in Thailand. And the first thing we see was the large entrance arch of the temple, built in the Tai-Yai style.

When we enter the temple we will see a sacred building. We think that this architecture is a ordination hall (ubosot). The ordination hall (ubosot) is built in the Tai-Yai style. And now the ordination hall (ubosot) is being renovated.

When we walk around the temple. The ordination hall (ubosot) area also has buildings in the Tai-Yai art style. I'm not sure what are buildings these.

And the temple's bell tower is also built in the Tai-Yai art style.

A large white building with a pagoda on building.

Another highlight is the buddha image hall (viharn). Of course, this sacred architecture also created the Tai-Yai art style. The inside of the buddha image hall (viharn) is simple, but beautiful. It is decorated with oil paintings. These paintings are about Buddhism and the way of life of the Tai-Yai people.
The main buddha image in this buddha image hall (viharn) is a large Buddha image in the attitude of meditation and several smaller Buddha images in the attitude of subduing Mara.

Other atmosphere in the temple, a small Tai-Yai style pavilion with Buddha statues. The statues, birthday Buddha statues and other.

And another highlight of the temple is the view around the temple. I think you must enjoy these views. Of course my wife and I enjoyed the views. You get views of Mok Cham village, farms, mountains, nature and the Kok River (the main river of Mae Ai District).

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

Such a beautiful blog. I have always found amusement in Thailand. The Tai-Yai art shows how this region has been culturally rich. The pictures, the infrastructure of the temple and the scenery are worth a visit. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Have a peaceful day ahead 💕
