Visit Wat Phra That Pu Chae, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Thailand.

Hello everyone. Last month, I read information from the internet that Mae Ai District has an old pagoda for buddha's relics that is over 400 years old. Two weeks ago, me and my wife went on an errand in Mae Ai District. The distance from my house, Fang District to Mae Ai District is about 39 kilometers. When we finished our errands. Me and my wife intended Immediately go to the temple with the old pagoda after running errands. This temple is called Wat Phra That Pu Chae (Phra That Pu Chae Temple.).

We go to Mai Pu Chae Village first. Because this temple is located in this village. Mai Pu Chae Village has 2 temples is Wat Phra That Pu Chae and Wat Ban Mai Pu Chae. So we went to Wat Ban Mai Pu Chae first. Because this temple is within the village.

I have to drive up the hill, where Wat Phra That Pu Chae is located. Along the way, we will see a serpent shaped staircase, which is the path for walking up the hill. Me and my wife can park the car there and walk up the hill to Wat Phra That Pu Chae. But we decided to drive up to the temple.

When we drive up the hill, on the way up the hill we see nature and big trees. And we have to drive through the entrance arch. The entrance arch above is a serpent.

When we arrived at the temple. We were fascinated and loved this temple. An old pagoda, over 400 years old that has been beautifully restored until now. Beautiful large Buddha image hall (viharn) in traditional northern art style (Lanna art). And a beautiful brass Buddha statue.

The overall atmosphere in this temple, in addition to admiring the beauty of architecture and sculptures, we also get to see nature and the atmosphere of the village below too.

As I drove home, on the way down the hill we again saw the scenery below.
