Visit Wat Phrom Jhariyawat, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hello everyone. Today I will share one more northern thailand style temple. This temple is a small temple that is quiet but looks beautiful with a unique Lanna art style. (Northern Thailand). This temple is called Wat Phrom Jhariyawat. Me and my wife visited this temple last week. We go to this temple in the morning.
The temple was built in the year A.D. 1826, about 197 years. And received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in the year A.D. 1951.

When we arrived at Wat Phrom Jhariyawat. We see the entrance arch of the temple first. The pillars of the entrance arch are made of bricks. The roof of the entrance arch is a Lanna-style roof. And Area front of the temple entrance arches, on the left and right sides, there are statues of lions.

When we pass through this arch to enter the temple. This zone will be the garden of the temple. On the left is a lawn with big trees and on the right is a courtyard with big trees. Look shady and relax. Around 4:00 p.m., the courtyard on the right will have a Thursday market. This flea market opens every Thursday as a small community market.

When walking further, you will see the temple wall. There is an entrance between the walls, but there is no arch at the entrance, Which is the inner zone of the temple. Between the left and right entrances are giant statues and lion statues.

When we entered the inner zone, we first saw a large buddha image hall (viharn). This buddha image hall (viharn) is built and decorated in Lanna art style. I think this buddha image hall (viharn) has unique Lanna art that is outstanding and beautiful. Take a look.

The front of the buddha image hall (viharn) there is a pagoda. This pagoda is built in style with a white square foundation and a color gold top of the pagoda. And there is a small pagoda for the zodiac year of thai surrounding this pagoda.

Beside the large buddha image hall (viharn), a small ordination hall (ubosot) can be seen. This small ordination hall (ubosot) is built and decorated in Lanna style and has a unique Lanna style that is distinctive and beautiful as well.

In addition, the multi-purpose pavilion, bell tower and meditation pavilion of this temple are also built in the Lanna style.

Other overall atmosphere inside the temple is shady with trees and flowers. There are many other statues for us to see.

Around 4:00 p.m., I took my granddaughter to this temple once more. But we go to the Thursday market that opens in the courtyard of this temple. We go to this community market to buy food and sweets. And I also want to capture the atmosphere of this Thursday market to share with everyone.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

🌏 Wat Phrom Jhariyawat is located Mae Ngon Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.
