A Back to Back Summer Experience in Poracay Resort

One summer of 2016 and 2017, our relatives discovered a resort where we can have an outing and beat the summer heat. We went to Poracay, a local resort along Porac, Pampanga and we've been there twice. We stayed there for 2 nights and three days. They have a lot of pools and amenities that will surely maximize your time there. Here are some photos of the facilities I have captured.

PORACAY SIGNAGE

The signage is located inside the resort near the hallway of the rooms. They change the design of their signage every year with different summer themes. This watermelon design is the first ever design I've seen way back 2016. We returned the following year and the design is different. It's floral this time. You can also sit at those blocks of letters and take pictures.

THE DUBAI-INSPIRED HALLWAY

The glimpse of houses you see at the sides of this Dubai inspired hallway are the villas for those who will stay overnight. Each house has three rooms and each room has two double deck beds. There's a kitchen, dining, and living room too. This hallway outside the rooms is a nice place to have a walk. You get to enjoy the ambiance and the gentle breeze. Mom told me that they got the concept of these umbrellas from a garden in Dubai. The difference is that these ones in Poracay are placed upside down.

THE POOLS

When you walk a bit from the hallway, you'll see a heart shaped arc. It's a stairway going to the pools. The rooms and hallway are elevated.

They have nearly 10 pools. This is the only pool I was able to take a picture since it's not crowded. If I remember it right, this pool is 4 ft. deep, just around the chest.

AMENITIES

Poracay has several amenities you can enjoy aside from swimming and this is one thing that makes the resort unique. This is good for adventurous people and those who want a pastime before they swim. We have tried two of their amenities so far, the kayak and zipline.

KAYAK

This kayak for rent is good for two persons. It opens at 8am and closes at 5pm. I forgot how long is this kayak ride. Mom let me and my niece ride this. You have to pay 200 pesos ($4) for this one. They'll call you when the time is up then you'll have your picture taking before you leave. They'll insert it in a fame with the details of the resort, like the one you see in my photo above.

ZIPLINE

The following year, we went back to this resort and that's the time we tried the zipline. My nephew wants to try so mom had me accompany him since minors need to be accompanied by an adult and I'm the one who's not scared of these amenities. This zipline is also good for two persons. The price is the same with kayak for a back and forth ride. We just left our footwear to the staff. They also take your photos after the ride, put it in the same frame, and give you copies right away. They do this to all their amenities.

OTHER FACILITIES

There are other facilities that I was not able to take photos. Aside from having nearly 10 pools, they also have stalls for different snacks. You have a lot to choose from such as pizza, donut, nachos, sandwiches, pearl shakes and many more. I do hope they still have those stalls up to this day. The other amenities they have are the giant water ball, where you will be inside a ball while you move it. The other one is the obstacle course near the kayak ride. Unfortunately, they're not open that time so we never had the chance to try them.

I wonder how this resort is doing this pandemic. I hope it survives this crisis and will be able to operate like before. It's been a couple of years since the last time we had an outing there so the prices might have changed already. This is one of the resorts I recommend for those who want to have an outing and an adventurous pastime since they have enough facilities that can accommodate from small to big groups of customers. I hope your family and friends will be the next people who will enjoy this resort now that our economy is open to tourists.

Yes I plan to explore more here while engaging it's just that there are many unexpected happenings that made me very busy for a month that I barely make blogs. I can just reply to all the comments. But starting on Monday, I'm excited to have more time and I can also go back to drawing while exploring here. It's a good thing to hangout here while we don't have outings and won't be able to go back to this resort for now.If we ever go back there someday, I hope they add more facilities. 😀
