(ENG-ESP) Exquisite and appetizing battered cauliflower recipe

Good evening dear Hivers, I hope you had a fantastic weekend.... Today, you will enjoy an exquisite and appetizing "battered cauliflower recipe". The magic of this dish lies in the delicious "crispy" consistency that the cauliflower acquires during the cooking process. Whenever I make this recipe I always prepare two sauces, one "tartar" and the other "honey mustard", this time I thought it was great to decorate with "mint and coriander", I can assure you that the result was really spectacular!

Buenas noches queridos Hivers, espero que hayan pasado un fantástico fin de semana... Hoy, disfrutarán de una exquisita y apetitosa "receta de coliflor rebozada". La magia de éste platillo la encontramos en la deliciosa consistencia "crujiente" que adquiere el coliflor durante el proceso de cocción. Siempre que realizo ésta receta suelo preparar dos salsas, una "tártara" y otra de "mostaza con miel", en ésta ocasión me pareció genial decorar con "yerbabuena y cilantro", les puedo asegurar que el resultado fue realmente espectacular!

  • To make this recipe I used 1 "medium" cauliflower. To wash and disinfect well let it soak in water with white vinegar for 15 minutes. Cut into "medium" pieces and cook until it acquires a "semi-soft" texture. Strain and reserve to use in the final step.
  • Para realizar ésta receta utilicé 1 coliflor "mediano". Para lavar y desinfectar bien dejamos remojando en agua con vinagre blanco durante 15 minutos. Cortamos en trozos "medianos" y ponemos a cocinar hasta que adquiera una textura "semi-blanda". Colamos y reservamos para utilizar en el paso final.

  • In this step, we will proceed to prepare the mixture that we will use to coat our cauliflower. Add 2 eggs to a bowl (season with salt and pepper). Beat until we get a foamy texture.
  • En éste paso, vamos a proceder a preparar la mezcla que utilizaremos para rebozar nuestro coliflor. Agregamos a un bowl 2 huevos (salpimentamos). Batimos hasta conseguir una textura espumosa.

  • To enjoy a VERY tasty and delicious flavor, we season with: garlic powder, curry and cumin.
  • Para disfrutar de un sabor MUY sabroso y delicioso, condimentamos con: ajo en polvo, curry y comino.

  • Add 1 teaspoon of "baking powder" along with 3 tablespoons of "wheat flour". You should get a "thick" mixture, if you think you need to add MORE flour, you can add "little touches" until you get the right consistency.
  • Agregamos 1 cucharadita de "polvo de hornear" junto con 3 cucharadas de "harina de trigo". Deberán conseguir una mezcla "espesa", si consideran que deben agregar MÁS harina, pueden ir añadiendo "pequeños toques", hasta conseguir la consistencia adecuada.

  • Let's start our fun process... We add the cauliflower to the mixture, I suggest NOT to put the whole amount of cauliflower, but to integrate 3-4 pieces.
  • Empecemos nuestro divertido proceso... Agregamos el coliflor a la mezcla, les sugiero NO colocar toda la cantidad de coliflor, sino ir integrando de 3-4 trozos.

  • To get a good batter, use a spoon and take a piece of cauliflower without draining the mixture. Add it to a non-stick frying pan and cook over medium-high heat until it acquires a golden and crunchy texture.
  • Para conseguir un buen rebozado, utilizaremos una cuchara y tomaremos una pieza de coliflor sin escurrir la mezcla. Incorporamos a un sartén antiadherente, cocinamos a fuego "medio-alto" hasta que adquiera una textura dorada y crujiente.

  • Enjoy their beautiful color and appetizing consistency! I suggest placing them on absorbent paper to remove the oil.
