(ENG-ESP) I show you how to prepare a delicious dessert with carrot, condensed milk and almond essence

  • Good afternoon friends, I hope you are having a great afternoon... Yesterday I prepared a delicious "dessert with carrot, condensed milk and almond essence" for an afternoon snack. To give it a different contrast I added "dry liquor", I took advantage of the fact that I bought a bottle of rum to prepare a "Christmas black cake" and I used 3 spoonfuls.

  • This recipe is VERY easy and simple to make, the MOST important point of this dessert is the preparation of the syrup, when I am cooking the sugar and I check that the color is similar to the color of honey, I immediately remove the mold from the stove, to prevent it from darkening and acquiring a bitter taste.

  • Hivers, I hope you enjoy the "step by step" of this delicacy!

Buenas tardes amigos, espero que estén pasando una tarde genial... Ayer preparé para merendar un exquisito "postre con zanahoria, leche condensada y esencia de almendra". Para darle un contraste diferente le añadí "licor seco", aproveché que compré una botella de ron para preparar una "torta negra navideña" y utilicé 3 cucharadas.

Ésta receta es MUY fácil y sencilla de realizar, el punto MÁS importante de éste postre es la preparación del almíbar, cuando estoy cocinando el azúcar y compruebo que el color es similar a la tonalidad de la miel, retiro enseguida el molde de la estufa, para así evitar que se oscurezca y adquiera un sabor amargo.

  • To make this recipe I used the following ingredients: 1 cup of grated carrot, 3 eggs, 6 tablespoons of sugar to make the syrup, 1 can of condensed milk (395 gr), 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence, 1 cup of milk, 1/2 teaspoon of almond essence (the amount will depend on the quality), 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 3 tablespoons of rum.
  • Para realizar ésta receta utilicé los siguientes ingredientes: 1 taza de zanahoria rallada, 3 huevos, 6 cucharadas de azúcar para realizar el almíbar, 1 lata de leche condensada (395 gr), 1 cucharada de esencia de vainilla, 1 taza de leche, 1/2 cucharadita de esencia de almendra (la cantidad dependerá de la calidad), 1 cucharada de fécula de maíz y 3 cucharadas de ron.

  • We begin by making the syrup, place 6 tablespoons of sugar in a mold suitable for cooking in a bain-marie. Cook over medium heat until the sugar melts and takes on a beautiful color, remember to prevent it from getting too dark to avoid a bitter taste. With the help of a "wet and clean cloth" spread the syrup around the container, trying to cover the entire edge.
  • Empezamos realizando el almíbar, colocamos 6 cucharadas de azúcar en un molde apropiado para cocinar en baño María. Cocinamos a fuego "medio" hasta que el azúcar se derrita y tome un hermoso color, recuerden evitar que se oscurezca mucho para evitar el sabor amargoso. Con ayuda de un "paño húmedo y limpio" extender el almíbar alrededor del envase, tratando de cubrir por todo el borde.

  • The syrup should have the color you see at the bottom of the container.
  • El almíbar debe quedar con la tonalidad que observan en el fondo del envase.

  • You can prepare this recipe using a mixer or blender. Add the eggs to a bowl, beat for 1 minute. Mix the cornstarch with the milk and add to the eggs.

  • Friends, on one occasion I improvised using "cornstarch" and I loved the result. With this ingredient we get our dessert to have a slightly MORE compact consistency.

  • Pueden preparar ésta receta utilizando una batidora o licuadora. Añade los huevos a un bowl, batimos durante 1 minuto. Mezcla la fécula de maíz con la leche y añáde a los huevos.
  • Amigos, en una ocasión improvisé utilizando "fécula de maíz" y me encantó el resultado. Con éste ingrediente conseguimos que nuestro postre tenga una consistencia MÁS compacta.

  • Add the "vanilla", together with the "almond essence" and the liqueur, this time I used 3 tablespoons of rum, you can also use "whiskey".
  • Incorporamos la "vainilla", junto con la "esencia de almendra" y el licor, en ésta ocasión utilicé 3 cucharadas de ron, también pueden usar "whisky".

  • Add our appetizing "condensed milk", mix at "medium-low" speed.
  • Añadimos nuestra apetitosa "leche condensada", mezclamos a velocidad "media-baja".

  • Add the carrot, grate on the "thick" side. Mix with wrapping movements.
  • Integramos la zanahoria, rallamos por el lado "grueso". Mezclamos con movimiento envolventes.

  • We add our succulent mixture in the container with syrup that we had reserved. Cover and cook over medium heat for 1 hour or until it is ready.
  • Agregamos nuestra suculenta mezcla en el envase con almíbar que teníamos reservado. Tapamos, cocinamos a fuego "medio" durante 1 hora o hasta comprobar que está listo.

  • Once the cooking time has elapsed, our succulent dessert is ready. Reserve in the refrigerator for 3 hours or until you check that it is cold to proceed to unmold.
  • Transcurrido el tiempo de cocción, nuestro suculento postre está listo. Reservamos en la nevera durante 3 horas o hasta comprobar que está frío para proceder a desmoldar.

  • This way it looks BEAUTIFUL, but as I want to give prominence to the "carrot", with the help of a flat plate we turn it over again, this way it will look MORE appetizing... Cut and plate.
  • De ésta manera luce HERMOSO, pero como deseo darle protagonismo a la "zanahoria", con ayuda de un plato llano volvemos a voltear, de ésta forma se verá MÁS apetitoso... Cortamos y emplatamos.
