_________PORTRAITURE__________

Hi guys, how are you doing today.

_____Welcome To My New Post_____

Today I'm sharing with y'all a digital portraiture I created some time ago that I really enjoyed working on, and also love the outcome

This is a portrait of a famous Nollywood actress Iniedo, I got the work as a collaboration in other to get it delivered to her which it actually was and I was really happy that she liked it

I hope you like it too

________ PROGRESS SHOTS ________

Step 1: on this stage I created my neat line Art using the picture reference I got for the art. This stage is an important one cos it will decide how you paint your art.

Step 2: Here on this stage I established my first layer of colour, some may call it base colour.

Stage 3: Here I started adding more shades to the character after I had created a swatch of my based color showing the gradient from light to dark which aims to aid my application of light and dark.

Stage 4: On this stage, I established the light and shade on my model's lips and well has the eyes and her earrings.

Step 5: On this stage I added my first light to the art, I am using Adobe illustrator so there's really no way to blend on it unless I use gradient to help soften out the colours into each other and that might take a while, and this is the sole purpose of creating a long colour swatch from the lightest to the darkest, it helps give an illusion of gradient as if the shadow in blending into the base colour.

Step 6: Here I added and additional light to the art such as the face and the hair, I used a gradient brush for to created the light on the hair giving it that strand and light shimmering look or glow

Final Step - Background: This is the most challenging stage for me cos I always find it hard to figure out a background for my art and can be really frustrating sometimes, so this time, I decided to create something using basic shapes and gradient, nothing much
