Everyone’s journey on Hive is truly unique: some people had to experience the full wrath of Hive watchers and constant post muting by community moderators before they learnt how to navigate Hive better, yet for others it was a smooth ride. Few others had to lose their accounts permanently before they understood the severity of creating plagiarized contents or misplacing their keys. But, in all, we get a better knowledge of Hive when we begin to learn from those who have been in the system.

3 days ago, I made a post which I titled, "WHY I HATE HIVE."

VideoCapture_20220816-185641.jpg

You can Click here to read the article

From the title, cover photo and introduction, one would think I wrote a controverted piece, however, if you read through, you’ll understand better.

In this piece, I created a fictional character (a newbie) who expressed his hatred for Hive in the harshest way. However, upon cross examination of his reasons, you’ll discover that these reasons could have easily been avoided if he was open to learning and if he had a mentor to guide him.

png_20220406_111102_0000.png

While reading through people’s comments on the piece I wrote, I noticed something very amazing.

From the testimony of my “commenters”, I read about the struggles our mentors had to undergo in order to lift us up the ladder of success on Hive. Some of them had to spend sleepless nights just to see that we do the right thing and some had to answer both relevant and irrelevant questions from us. Even when we made mistakes, they corrected us and still continued to guide us.

Thus, thinking really hard about this, I feel there is a need to always say THANK YOU to our wonderful Mentors for the sacrifice they’ve made for us on this wonderful platform. Although many of us tell them personally or privately, I don’t think it will be a bad idea if we tell them a BIG THANK YOU on this space, right?

YES! YES! YES!

So, let’s get to it!

png_20220406_111102_0000.png

20220819_222247_0002.png

Let’s try out this exercise!

In the comment section below, say THANK YOU to your mentor or mentors on Hive: It may be someone who assisted you from the beginning in this journey or someone who assisted you half way (their sacrifice is/was not in vain).

Tell them thank you in your unique way (remember to tag them so that they get to see it), and remember to invite at least one other person so that we all join in this wonderful exercise.

I look forward to a day all Hivers/Hivians will create (a day in a Month or a day in a Year) to celebrate our MENTORS ON HIVE.

  • I appreciate all who'll take out time to read other people's testimonies and reply them.
  • I also appreciate all the wonderful curators who'll help to curate wonderful testimonies in the comment section.
  • You (reading this) are also one of those amazing curators and I appreciate YOU!"

Thank God brother! it is him we should thank. For without him in our lives, we would not be where we are this moment.

That's right, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't thank the people we see 🥰🥰.

He told us that how can we say we love him and our brother whom we see daily we don't love him? 👌💯.

You are indeed a star, so just keep shining and give light to as many as God has blessed you 🤩🥰🥰.

Mentors are wonderful people. Having a mentor is great, they help you achieve sooner what may take you months or years to achieve. I just joined hive last month, and I find the platform overwhelming, I really do need guidance.

True!

What may take you 1 year to understand if you intend to do it on your own, with a mentor you can understand it within a month. So, yes! They are really important.

Wow! Your blog is still empty and without any post. I'll suggest you should begin with an Introductory post.

  1. Post in a Community like OCD or here, or any Community of your choice.

  2. Try to write an introduction of yourself, of at least 300 word count. The Introductory post should have 4 major features

  • Tell us about yourself (name, state/country, religious background, education, what you like, food, pets... etc.. Just be creative while you're doing this)
  • Tell us about your hobbies (if possible post different pictures of the different skills or hobbies you have)
  • Tell us how you heard about Hive (if someone onboarded you, you can include his or her username... if not state clearly how you heard about Hive)
  • Say what you intend to do on Hive: if it's music, writing, making friends, and all.. just be creative.
  1. Try to use at least 3 pictures, or at least 5 if possible.

  2. Use the tags #introduceyourself #myintroduction #introduction #newbie ... among other tags.

After this you can find the communities that are in-line with your skills and hobbies, and grow in the communities.

I hope you find this helpful

I had started Hive with a few knowledge only but as days goes by, I learned additional knowledge about Hive.

So first let me thank @bloghound, @cindee08, @chichi18, and @jeansapphire for their support and help on my first month here.

I am thankful to @tpkidkai and other active members of @hiveph discord community for sharing their informative knowledge about Hive too. I learn so many things from them.

Lastly, I'm super thankful to Kuya @tengolotodo, for always reminding me on what I need to do and not to do here in Hive. I'm super grateful to him for his support.

It's so wonderful for you to share your journey on Hive with us and the experiences you've had in your earlier months on Hive. One of the best ways to show appreciation to those who mentored us, is by growing and becoming mentors to others ourselves. I believe they'll be more happy with that.

Greetings dear friend

Yeah, I agree. Growing and helping others by what we learned from our mentors is really a great way to appreciate the support they gave to us when we were once a newbie or someone who still lacks knowledge on other things.

Have a wonderful weekend my friend.

I saw the post title "why hate hive" I was stunned at first until read through the write to understand the idea.

My special appreciation and gratitude will go to @starstrings01 he was a colleague before becoming my mentor. I was invited to hive by him. If I'm being honest, I won't have made it this far without is great mentorship and his contributions to my hive experience. While struggling at a time he delegated HP to me so that I could post more often. I have disturbed his life so much that I became a hard stone to swallow but he never got tired.

The funny thing is, I'm not the only one he is mentoring, kudos to you @starstrings01 you will forever have my gratitude and respect ✌️✌️✌️

I really don't know where I'd have been here on Hive if not for my amazing mentors on this great community.

First of all, my dearest friend @royalpeek who introduced me to hive and showed me my first ropes, always encouraging and inspiring me to grow on the platform.

Also, to my other great mentors who have been a great source of encouragementand support to me. I'm really grateful to you.

In order for me not to write an entire epistle with so many chapters and verses, I'll limit my gratitude to a few words.

Thank you so kindly @starstrings01 @josediccus @wolfofnostreet @isnochys @prayz @josediccus @ryzeonline @mipiano bruno-kema @khaleesii @stevenson7
@nkemakonam89 @ifarmgirl @erikah @hopestylist @tpkidkai and @tengolotodo

First of all, I would like to thank you @ksam for writing this article because it has brought our attention to our mentors.

A good mentor is the source of our progress. From whom I have learned even a single word, I consider him as my mentor.

I would like to thank @amberkashif who helped me a lot in my startup. She is adorable. This girl held my hand and taught me to move forward. And I want to thank @ayesha-malik who has helped me a lot on this platform. She answers all my questions even though she is busy. She is the queen of hive pakistan.💕

And I would also like to thank @dlmmqb because he helped me to understand every complicated point. He is such a highly intelligent.
He has very high dreams and may Allah fulfill them.✨

And finally I want to thank @whangster79 who I have only talked on the comments but I have learned a lot from his article. Every word of his article is interesting. Whatever questions I ask him in the comments, he answer them. So I also consider him as my mentor.💕

God bless all of you. You guys can win this world with your words and nature. A big applause to all of you.👏

Absolutely amazing~ :)

Never expected, and yet always appreciated your interest and enthusiasm. The questions you have after reading some of my recent blog post is the right path of thought I try to emphasize in the end of every experience we have... is to always try and enjoy the NOW.

There is a reason why they call "present" another word for present time = Now. Maybe its a gift to understand the present. :) Weird isnt it?

You deserve this compliment and I hope to learn more from your future articles. 💕

What you want to convey in your article reaches your watchers perfectly.

Haha nah, The way you think about the present and the now is not strange, your observations of different aspects makes you more unique.✨

Nice piece, To thrive in the hive ecosystem, you need a mentor. When I started, my mentor never had time because he was the busy type but as time went on I read people's post on how to thrive on the hive blockchain and little by little, I started applying it and it helped a lot.
