The hardest decision, twice! // Passengers 2016. [Eng - Esp]

If there is a journey that we can foresee, it is the one that takes us along the path of our own decisions; Last week I watched this 2016 film up to 3 times, directed by the Norwegian Morten Tyldum and starring Chris Pratt (Jim) and the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence (Aurora). This is "Passengers", a work that combines various styles and sensations for those of us who have been able to throw out of the plot and think side by side empathically, in the situations that the characters go through in their peculiar means of transport.

Si hay un viaje que podemos prever, es el que nos lleva por el camino de nuestras propias decisiones; La semana pasada vi hasta 3 veces esta cinta del año 2016, dirigida por el noruego Morten Tyldum y protagonizada por Chris Pratt (Jim) y la bella Jennifer Lawrence (Aurora). Se trata de "Pasajeros", una obra que combina varios estilos y sensaciones para quienes hemos podido echar de lado la trama y pensar empáticamente, en las situaciones que atraviesan los personajes en su peculiar medio de transporte.

Although it has totally implausible aspects, this movie is so entertaining that my time on the couch flew by; And it is that between the spectacular design of the Avalon ship, which seems to generate its own gravity capsule and the fun luxuries that it offers its occupants internally, it is impossible for me not to imagine being in Jim Preston's place. However, apparently nothing can replace the social nature of the human being, who, far from resigning himself, is capable of doing unimaginable things.

Aunque tiene aspectos totalmente inverosímiles, esta película es tan entretenida que el tiempo en el sillón se me pasó volando; y es que ente el espectacular diseño de la nave Avalon, que parece generar su propia cápsula de gravedad y los divertidos lujos que ofrece internamente a sus inquilinos, se me hace imposible no imaginarme estando en el lugar de Jim Preston. Sin embargo, al parecer nada puede sustituir la naturaleza social del ser humano, que lejos de resignarse, es capaz de hacer cosas inimaginables.

Por todo esto, es que misteriosamente podemos ver a un buen hombre haciendo cosas indebidas; y como reza el dicho "no hay mal que por bien no venga", un buen día la difícil decisión de Jim consigue un sentido para él y para la hermosa chica de la que se ha enamorado. Quizás en este caso el fin no justifica los medios, pero las cosas se van acomodando en el camino, total, tiempo es lo que les sobra para llegar a algún acuerdo. En esta obra que nos ubica en una moderna nave interestelar, las emociones pueden cambiar de un momento a otro.

Can we feel like captives inside a ship that takes us to a promising destination? Of course, and although our first impression is to think about the bad luck of Jim, who by an accidental mistake had to spend more than a year alone; but that after violating the laws of the ship and even any moral meaning, just to be accompanied, he gets down to work to play the hero and thus, amend part of the damage he could have done; since good intentions can also bring tragic results.

¿Acaso podemos sentirnos como cautivos dentro de una nave que nos lleva a un destino promisorio? Claro que sí y aunque nuestra primera impresión es pensar sobre la mala suerte de Jim, quien por un error accidental tuvo que pasar más de un año solo; pero que luego de infringir las leyes de la nave e incluso cualquier significado moral, solo para estar acompañado, se pone manos a la obra para hacer de héroe y así, enmendar parte del daño que pudo haber hecho; dado que las buenas intenciones también pueden traer resultados trágicos.

Sometimes I'm a bit slow for some details in a film, so it wasn't until the second performance that I realized that the kind and gentlemanly android Arthur (Michael Sheen) can only give away good Jim due to the growing body of flaws. , which occurred unexpectedly on the ship. The Avalon's design made me dream, with its rotating movements and its ability to automate; but soon its "infallible" security system would be so exposed that it seemed to become a directed nuclear bomb.

A veces soy un poco lento para algunos detalles en un filme, por eso fue hasta la segunda función cuando caí en cuenta de que, el amable y caballeroso androide Arthur (Michael Sheen) solo puedo delatar al buen Jim debido a la creciente cúmulo de fallas, que se produjeron inesperadamente en la nave. El diseño de la Avalon me hizo soñar, con sus movimientos giratorios y su capacidad de automatización; pero pronto su "infalible" sistema de seguridad quedaría tan expuesto, que parecía convertirse en una bomba nuclear dirigida.

I loved the special effects on the tape and the myriad of elements for inflight entertainment; something that Jim used to conquer Aurora ha ha ha, so who wouldn't? Of course there are aspects that I would have preferred not to witness; among them the internal conflict that explodes within Aurora, upon awakening from her idyllic dream provided by her admirer. The glitch that left Arthur the tell-tale villain and the early death of the only character who could do anything sane (Captain Gus Mancuso played by Laurence Fishburne).

Amé los efectos especiales de la cinta y la infinidad de elementos para el entretenimiento a bordo; algo de lo que se valió Jim para conquistar a Aurora ja,ja,ja ¿Así quién no? Por supuesto hay aspectos que hubiese preferido no presenciar; entre ellos el conflicto interno que explota dentro de Aurora, al despertar de su sueño idílico proporcionado por su admirador. La falla técnica que hizo quedar a Arthur como el villano delator y la temprana muerte del único personaje que podía hacer algo cuerdo (el capitán Gus Mancuso interpretado por Laurence Fishburne).

What was really decisive on Gus's part was to provide his access codes to safeguard the other five thousand passengers and that entrusted responsibility was assumed by the couple of characters that occupies almost the entire staging. I consider it a success to have achieved so many things, with so few tools; because although Jennifer and Chris are great actors and fresh faces on the big screen, they are in charge of bringing this cinematic work to life on their own.

Lo que en verdad fue determinante por parte de Gus, fue facilitar sus claves de acceso para salvaguardar a los otros cinco mil pasajeros y esa responsabilidad encomendada, fue asumida por la pareja de personajes que ocupa casi toda la puesta en escena. Considero un acierto haber logrado tantas cosas, con tan pocas herramientas; porque si bien Jennifer y Chris son grandes actores y caras frescas en la gran pantalla, se encargan ellos solos de darle vida a esta obra cinematográfica.

Although everything predictable happens in the film, it was a very entertaining experience that left me wanting so much, that I saw it again 3 times ha ha ha. In the end, Jim's sincerity allows him to offer a new opportunity to continue his journey, to the planet to colonize. However, Aurora prefers to stay with the person she saved and who together took care of the lives that occupied the capsules. We can all be heroes and things don't always turn out the way we expect, but we must also be ready for the changes that come our way.

Aunque en la película sucede todo lo previsible, fue una experiencia muy entretenida que me dejó con tantas ganas, que la volví a ver 3 veces ja,ja,ja. Al final, la sinceridad de Jim le permite ofrecer una nueva oportunidad de continuar su viaje, hasta el planeta a colonizar. Sin embargo Aurora prefiere quedarse con la persona a la que salvó y que juntos cuidaron las vidas que ocupaban las cápsulas. Todos podemos ser héroes y no siempre las cosas salen como esperamos, pero también debemos estar listos para los cambios que nos depare el camino.
