"Cryptocurrencies Could Destabalize Nations" - Hillary Clinton

What once was fake internet money could now destabilize nations. Hmm. What a though. Not that I actually give a fuck what this lady thinks... Some people do for some reason. I'm not here to talk politics. Not here to do any of that bullshit. I'm here purely to explore the thought of a cryptocurrency destabilizing nations.

Crypto has come a long way since its inception. I don't know the exact history but you know, it was some time ago. It wasn't taken serious by very many people at all. Bitcoin was primarily being used to tip on old forums... Then it started being used on the black market. People were using BTC to buy things off silk road like drugs and shit. How we got from there to major corporations holding it on there balance sheets is hard to even comprehend. The fact is though that the technology was always there. It just wasn't ready for the world yet. Or the world wasn't ready for it yet. Who knows, I'm just a degen.

She said first that crypto could undermine currencies and undermine the dollar's role as the reserve currency. That's fuckin hilarious because that's exactly what's happening. People are realizing that the money they've been told is money is becoming less and less value. Imagine that. A currency like the US dollar that is literally backed by nothing but debt (LOL) is losing its place as the "standard". Crypto does have the power to be the currency of the world. It's only a matter of time. There won't be just once crypto. There will be hundreds of thousands of interoperable cryptos. Borderless, decentralized, and secure. Each state might even have their own. Hell, even cities like Miami and New York City have their own cryptos. Why not?

As far as destabilizing nations goes - I think she's right. When you replace the standard currency with something that's controlled by no one, you lose a little stability. The nations would combat that instability by becoming a part of the decentralized future before their currency is "undermined". Look at El Salvador. You think it matters if their currency loses all its value now? No. They had Bitcoin legal tender. They're future proofed. Which nation will be next? Which nation will be the first to standardize NFTs? Think about that.

All legal documents are now NFTs on whichever chain. Probably WAX because its the most active. Maybe a different chain? Maybe interoperable NFTs that can be transferred anywhere. Imagine getting the title to a car on chain as an NFT. No worry of the shit paper getting messed up, lost, or stolen. Wanna sell the car? Just send the title from one wallet to the other and you've transferred true verifiable ownership. You'll even be able to see the history of that title on chain. Even deeper - accident reports for that specific car on chain. There's so many possibilities.
