R-Planet: Conquest closed alpha in 13 days!

I've been waiting for R-Planet's MMO game to come out for what feels like an eternity. Not too long ago, R-Planet announced that there would be only 1000 slots for the Closed Alpha. The 1000 slots were decided by doing a lottery style draw where you could buy tickets for 100,000 AETHER. I got myself 100 tickets, so I felt like I had decent odds. This cost me a whopping total of about 56 WAX which is roughly $5.50. Being that I already had a massive pile of AETHER stacking up and a bunch of random shit coins to swap... I really didn't spend anything.

There were a total of 58,029 tickets sold for the Alpha lottery, so my odds were not great. I had a 0.17% chance of winning based on the amount of tickets sold vs. the amount I had. I'd say I got pretty lucky with those odds. I didn't expect to win at all, honestly. I figured that the whales that hold insane amounts of AETHER would be the winners. This is why I thought the lottery draw was a great idea because it evens the playing field a little bit.

900 players were picked from the lottery and the remaining 100 slots are going to be for giveaways and such. According to the latest update on Medium, the Closed Alpha will launch on 9/22 and will likely run for 2 to 3 months. This is just an estimation, as it's the first time the game will be live and they have yet to do real-world testing outside of their test server. The game kinda looks like what an early version of StarCraft probably looked like. Pretty excited to get my army and base built.

This also comes with some news about the revenue share for RDAO token holders. The first Metafarming phase where you could stake RDAO, RDAO/WAX, and RDAO/AETHER is coming to an end a few days after the Alpha launch. This means that there will be BOX tokens from DefiBox distributed to token holders. I really love how they are sticking to their guns and sharing the revenue. This is the kind of transparency that all blockchain games need.

There will also be new pools launched for staking along with the distribution of BOX tokens. This means you will be able to unstake your RDAO tokens from the WAX farming pool and stake them in the BOX farming pool. Another awesome thing about the AETHER raised from the lottery is that all of it will be burned, according to the last AMA (if I remember correctly).

The final 100 players in the 1000 players battling to the death will receive exclusive Hero NFTs that will be able to be used in the game as well. It's time to build an army, defend your based, and conquer the R-Planet. Watching that little trailer video probably got me way more excited than I care to admit. Regardless, I'm ready and I'm making sure that I get at least some of each mineral as I'm not sure exactly what resources I'll need.
