frens, it's safe to say that NFTs and the "metaverse" are not going away anytime soon, if ever. More and more every single day we see these concepts get solidified and ingrained into our every day lives. We've seen Nike and adidas launching NFT shoes and other gear for your avatar. We've got major brands and companies building VR experiences and issuing NFTs.

Samsung Partners with Decentraland

Samsung has made a huge move in partnering with Decentraland, which is an Ethereum based Virtual Reality metaverse. They are building and opening a virtual version of their flagship 837 store in New York. The virtual Samsung 837X store will only be open for a limited time so if you have any interest to check it out, now is your chance. Samsung is creating virtual experiences of things they've been doing in the real world for users to experience. For example, Samsung has partnered with Cardano-based Veritree to plant 2 million trees in Madagascar. Users will be able to wander through this "Sustainability Forest" in VR inside the Decentraland metaverse. Users will also be able to experience a mixed reality live dance party hosted from the 837 store in New York by DJ Gamma Vibes. Guests that attend will also have a chance to win some exclusive NFT swag from Samsung.

As stated, this 837X store will only be open for a limited time, but Samsung plans to build more experiences throughout the year. Samsung is not new in the NFT space and they seems to be very heavily interested. They see the true value of what NFTs and the metaverse can do for their business. They even announced that users will be able to buy NFTs with their fucking TVs.Their new MICRO LED, Neo QLED, and The Frame TV models will enable users to view, buy, and sell NFTs straight on their TV. They're even building an NFT marketplace aggregator so users can get the best possible prices across multiple NFT markets. If that doesn't blow your mind, I don't know what could.

Samsung has always been a company to move quickly and innovate. We saw this when they introduced the first phones with curved screens and then later foldable screens. They will continue to push the boundaries and innovate on bleeding-edge tech. This is just them dipping their toes into the space after investing in other NFT startups such as Sky Mavis, Forte, and Dapper labs. All I can say is - I'm here for it.
