Summer preparations in dCrops. Farmer's world on the Hive blockchain

In dCrops, spring is slowly coming to an end.
The last plants are ripening and will be ready for harvest in a few days.
So it's time to make some preparations for the next season.
My farm has grown a bit, so I need even more seeds. This is my first summer in the game and I still need to work on my seed pile.
I made a list of the seeds I need. Seed from Alpha packs are usually much cheaper than from Beta. So I decided to give Lady Fortune a shot and bought some Beta packs to look for the missing seeds.

What I see? Pumpkin Soup? My favourite. Few days ago in real world I used the last pumpkin from 2022. Soup was delicious, with taste of late summer.

Finally more seeds. I saw Rosemary first. Great! I have some free time on my plots, and 2 days seeds fits well. But wow! I got legendary seed!

I have checked the market.
Only 29 cards in circulation and just one for sell for almost 90 Hive?
Eggplant seems pretty rare! :)
Should I keep it? Or maybe should I try to sell it and buy more packs?

It seems Eggplant has a special rule.
Actually two.
The first gives us a 10% chance that a seed won't get a cooldown when planted, which gives us the potential to use the same seed twice in a season.
The second is that Eggplant can be used in two seasons. Spring and Summer.
So if we use this seed at the beginning of spring and it even cooldowns, it will be ready to use in early summer.

On the margin
This is crazy lucky week for me.
Few days ago, on Sunday, there was the last aidrop for Chaos Legion set in Splinterlands.
Hard to believe but for only 42 packs I bought from Splinterlands shop and almost 0% chance for any drop I got GF Legendary Summoner. Worth something like 200$.

But back to packs

Tulip is nice for the end of spring.
Two more recipes, but after Eggplant I wont complain :)

And the last one:
Thyme - great herb. I love how it smells. I use it to leek soup. And another filler seed for autumn.
I got another blueprint for equipment.
Until I've developed my crop to a basic level, I don't deal with equipment.
There will be time for that yet. Let me explain.

We need resources to build equipment.
These can be obtained from the market or from Seasonal Quests.
In order to do them at all, we need a developed farm,
because they require planting specific seeds that are related to the season, and also selling crops that we may have harvested at other times of the year.
The second thing is the number of items in each seasonal chest.
The basic amount is 10 - these can be accelerators, gas, mystical seeds, and raw materials.
For every 15k crop power we get another item in the box.
The source of crop power are stacked Alpha packs, Crop token, 3 star crops, and cards - in their case burn ratio counts.
So, in order to even deal with building and processing resources, you need to get a handle on a few things first :)

As I mentioned - it will my first summer and I almost did not have seeds for that season.
This is what I had:

With budget around 30 Hive I went to seeds market.
And this is what I got.

I like seeds we can plant and harvest many times during season.
I believe they are good as long term investments.
Although they cost more than regular seeds, which have a 14-day cooldown when planted, they can be planted and harvested multiple times.
For example, Blueberry has a maturation period of only 2 days.
So in a season that lasts 15 days, we have 7 harvests.
In comparison, we would need to have 7 copies of Basil seeds to use the same amount of time.
As for the cost of 1 point $shares in Hive, it looks similar for both seeds. But Blueberry yields 3 times as much fruit, so there's also a better chance of a 2-3 star harvest.
Remember that 3 star crops count to our crop power!
