Roasted potatoes with spices

Potatoes are a very delicious vegetables and they contain nutrients that benefit health such as folic acid and plenty of vitamin K and other minerals and vitamins.
The best form of eating potatoes is roasted because they preserve their nutrients. If you boil them the vitamins and minerals are lost in the water where you boiled them

If the potatoes are fresh they cook very quickly in the oven. The colombian potatoes are cooked with the skin and they cook very fast and I think they are the most delicious potatoes you can eat. Today I am not using them because I didn't find in the market, but I am using another kind of yellow potatoes.

These roasted potatoes are good as a garnish for fish and chicken. I am going to eat them with meat humburgers and vegetables.

To prepare these potatoes you need:

  • 2 kilograms of yellow potatoes
  • olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon of butter
  • 1/2 spoon of nutmeg
  • some black pepper
  • thyme or oregano
  • salt

Preparation:

  • wash the potatoes and dry them with a clean cloth
  • cut them in small pieces
  • place butter and olive oil in the oven dish
  • place the potatoes on the fat
  • add the spices and some coarse salt all over the potatoes
  • place the dish in the oven and cook until they are soft
