Good day to this great community
Compliment of the season.
I wanna share to this community few and interesting post few days ago I took trip to a certain village in my state. This village is called etinan it is located at the southeast of Akwa Ibom State.
During my days in the higher college I remembered offering an MCB (microbiology) course that leaded us to this particular village for escortion I remembered that time I did not have a good phone to take pictures and have a record of what was going on there. This is QIC general Hospital it has three different sections HIV unit, tuberculosis unit and leprosy this post is about leprosy. Next post will be on HIV and tuberculosis
As nature will have it, few days ago I decided to take a trip to that same village to have this post and also learn. The Leprosy centre.
We all know whenever this particular diseases is mention everyone is like God forbid but unfortunately it is people human being like us that are suffering from this particular sickness.
I discovered some of the victims of this disease their family members has dump them there some don't know if their victims are still alive I saw a family that has spend all their life in the leprosy centre because they didn't know how they got to the place.
Some where healed of the disease but can't go because they don't know where to go to since they where given a place to stay they turn the place to their home. Get married to themselves and have children.
