My 3 days in Kuala Lumpur

Hello new people! Just like everywhere, I am discovering something new very late. My friends were all over Facebook when I heard about it the first time and the same goes here. "HIVE, you must use it", she said. What on earth is that? After a few days of my learning here I am. My HIVE blog is alive. First things first, I will make this travel post to see how it goes, next, I will start discovering even more here. If anyone has some good tips for newcomers, please let me know all about them. I copied topics from other posts but will be grateful for any topic tip. Thank you

Day 1:

I arrived in Kuala Lumpur on a sunny day, and the first thing I noticed was the hot and humid weather. After a long flight, I was excited to finally be in Malaysia and start exploring the city. However, jet lag is a real deal and my legs were like newborn deer's.

Finally, I checked into my hotel, which was located in the heart of the city (near China Town), and decided to take walk around the area to get my bearings. I stumbled upon the Central Market, which is a popular tourist destination in Kuala Lumpur. The market was bustling with activity, and I found myself surrounded by the vibrant colors and sounds of the city. I spent the afternoon browsing through the various vendors selling traditional Malaysian crafts and souvenirs. I was particularly impressed with the batik fabrics, which are a traditional Malaysian craft that involves dyeing cloth with wax. I also picked up some souvenirs for my friends and family back home.

My hotel was just a half-hour walk from the Petronas Twin Towers, which are an iconic symbol of Kuala Lumpur. As I approached the towers, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer size and beauty of the buildings.

Somehow I found quite an expensive ticket to go all the way up, so I rather search around the towers. I also had a chance to visit the Petronas Twin Towers shopping mall which was huge and had a wide variety of luxury and local brands.

In the evening, I had dinner at a local restaurant where I tried traditional Malay dishes such as Nasi Lemak and Satay. The flavors were incredible, and I found myself wishing I could stay in Kuala Lumpur for longer to try more of the local cuisine. The restaurant was located in a busy street where I could see locals and tourists enjoying their meals together, it was a great experience to be a part of the local culture.

Day 2:

Today I visited the Batu Caves, which are a series of limestone caves located just outside of Kuala Lumpur. The caves are an important religious site for Hindus, and the temple inside is a beautiful place to see. I climbed the 272 steps to the top of the cave, and the views from the top were incredible. I was able to see the entire city of Kuala Lumpur from above, and it was a truly amazing experience. I also visited the Cave Villa which was an amazing experience, it had beautiful statues and paintings of Hindu gods and goddesses.

After visiting the Batu Caves, I decided to take a tour of the city. I visited the National Museum, which is a great place to learn about the history and culture of Malaysia. I was particularly impressed with the exhibits on the history of the country, and I found myself fascinated by the stories of the different ethnic groups that make up Malaysia. I also had a chance to visit the Royal Museum which was a great experience, it had a collection of historical artifacts and beautiful architecture.

In the afternoon, I visited the Merdeka Square, which is a popular tourist destination in Kuala Lumpur. The square is home to the Independence Memorial, which is a monument that was built to commemorate the independence of Malaysia. I also walked around the surrounding area, which is known for its beautiful colonial architecture. I also visited the Sultan Abdul Samad Building which was a beautiful building with Moorish architecture and it was an interesting visit.

Day 3:

Today was my last day in Kuala Lumpur, and I wanted to make the most of it. I started the day with a visit to the Jamek Mosque, which is one of the oldest mosques in the city. The mosque is a beautiful building with intricate architecture, and it was a peaceful place to visit. The mosque was built in 1909, it has a Moorish-style architecture and it was an interesting place to visit. After visiting the mosque, I had an amazing lunch which gave me the power to get to my next sight - the park.

I visited Kuala Lumpur Park, which is home to a wide variety of plants. The park was a great place to relax and enjoy nature. I had the chance to see different species of birds and learn more about them, it was an amazing experience.

Orchids can be seen all over the park. However, Malaysia's national flower is the hibiscus.

Finally, I ended my day by visiting the KL Tower, which is another iconic landmark in Kuala Lumpur. I took the elevator to the top and enjoyed the panoramic views of the city from above. It was a perfect way to end my trip, as I was able to see the whole city from a different perspective.

Overall, my three days in Kuala Lumpur were an incredible experience. I was able to see some of the city's most famous landmarks and learn about the culture and history of Malaysia. I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone considering traveling to Southeast Asia. The city is full of energy, great food, beautiful architecture, and friendly people. I will definitely come back one day.
