When RNG Not on Your Side

Hello Splinters, I'm Lagnarok, and Welcome to my Social Media Battle Challenge. In another practice session within Life Faction, Life Faction's Elders pick very tricky rulesets so Life Faction's cadre can survive in any battlefield situation.

Uriel the Purifier's Lore

Uriel was amongst the many Pelacor that fled Solaki and its military regime when he was young. He found himself in Khymeria, like so many of his brothers and sisters, but even though they practiced with life magic, it just didn’t feel quite pure enough for him. So he traveled to different Worlds, seeking somewhere he could find that elusive clarity of virtue. On the bright World of Régalien, he won his armor in brutal combat, gold and silver plates forged with the strongest known metals and lacquered in a diamond giant's translucent blood. An armor that could not only heal him but would smite his foes should he ever fall in battle. Still, it was not enough. Read More.

The match happened in a Wild Gold League in a ranked match, and the battle details were "Fire & Regret", "Close Range", and "Noxius Fumes", with only 19 Mana caps and that sucked since it was way too low for this kind situation. While Close Range is very advantageous for ranged-type, Fire & Regret make the advantages disappear, so I decided to use Uriel with Cleanse.

Battle Preparation & Strategy

NameLvAbility
Lorna ShineLv 6Holy Protection
Uriel The PurifierLv 2Flying, Recharging, Heal
Venator KinjoLv 3Reflection Shield, Camouflage, Immunity, Slow
Silvershield BardLv 5Cleanse, Swiftness
Calestial HarpyLv 5Flying, Opportunity, True Strike
Furios ChickenLv 3Cannon Fodder
Soul FiendLv 2Cannon Fodder

The first point I want to make sure of is the ruleset. Noxious Fumes are the most tricky if you play on Low Mana caps, so I used Uriel The Purifier and supported him with Cleanse. With spare Mana, I decided to put Venator Kinjo since it can survive with his Immunity against Noxious Fume and the ability to nerf an opponent's speed by 1 point. And placed two cannon fodder just in case my opponent decided to use Sneak Meta or Sneak Meta. Plus, all of my monsters were protected by Holy Protection, which will buy me a lot of time in today's Faction War.

Did my Strategy Work?

Unfortunately, My strategy failed. I did make a lot of preparation against most situations in this battle, but RNG decided not to take a side on mine. The battle outcome is a fight between my Uriel The Purifier and my Opponent Uriel The Purifier. Still, in certain rounds, My Opponent Uriel attacks me twice because of RNG. Even if it frustrated me, it sometimes happened in a Certain Round.

Note: I tried to change my writing style from a long and tedious version to a shorter and more descriptive one. I hope. You can enjoy it.
