[Eng/Esp] Photo shoot with my friend @indipnash91

Hello, Hive family! It’s a pleasure to pop in here to say hello to each and every one of you, wish you a wonderful day, and may God bless you abundantly. Today, I’ll be telling you about my day at a photoshoot with my friend @indipnash91. As my friend @indipnash91 is venturing into the world of photography, she occasionally asks me to help out by modelling for her. So we make the most of it by spending the day together and catching up.

¡Hola familia de Hive! Es un placer pasar por acá para saludar a cada uno, desearles un maravilloso día y que Dios los bendiga abundantemente. En esta ocasión les estaré contando de mi día en una sesión de fotos con mi amiga @indipnash91. Como mi amiga @indipnash91 está incursionando en el mundo de la fotografía, de vez en cuando me pide ayuda para que le sirva de modelo. Así aprovechamos y pasamos el día juntas y nos ponemos al día.

This shoot had a Cuban Guajira cultural theme. For that reason, we made sure the outfits were in keeping with the theme and opted for simple make-up that would highlight natural beauty and simplicity. We also made good use of the vegetation and plants around us to evoke the beautiful Cuban countryside. Although I’m not a professional model and don’t know much about the subject, I felt very comfortable posing for my friend’s camera as we’re very close and I felt safe in that environment.

Esta sesión fue con la temática de la cultura guajira cubana. Por tal motivo tratamos que el vestuario estuviera acorde y optamos por un maquillaje sencillo, que resaltara la belleza natural y la sencillez. También nos apoyamos mucho en la vegetación y las plantas que teníamos a nuestro alrededor para hacer alusión a los bellos campos de Cuba. Aunque no soy una modelo profesional y desconozco mucho del tema, me sentí muy cómoda posando para el lente de mi amiga ya que somos muy cercanas y me sentía en un ambiente seguro.

I can’t complain about @indipnash91’s hospitality, because she made me a delicious lunch and even some coffee, as she knows I really like it, even though she doesn’t drink it herself. We had a lot of fun picking flowers for the shoot, because we thought they’d add a special touch to the photos – plus, I love flowers.

No me puedo quejar de la hospitalidad de @indipnash91 , porque me hizo un rico almuerzo y hasta café ya que sabe que me gusta mucho, aún cuando a ella no toma. Nos divertimos mucho, recolectando flores para la sesión, porque pensamos que le darían un toque especial a las fotos, además, me encantan las flores.

We had a few setbacks due to the rain, but none of that stopped us. As soon as it cleared up, we went out to take the outdoor photos in my friend’s neighbourhood. One thing you have to play around with in outdoor photography is the lighting; as the day went on, the sun grew stronger, which can affect the final quality of the photo. In any case, I can say it was a lovely experience that I enjoyed to the full.

Tuvimos algunos contratiempos por lluvia, perso nada de eso nos detuvo. En cuanto escampó salimos a tomar las fotos exteriores en el vecindario de mi amiga. Algo con lo que hay que jugar en las fotos de exteriores es con la iluminación, a medida que avanzaba el día, el sol se hacía más intenso, lo cual puede afectar la calidad final de la foto. En cualquier caso, puedo decir que fue una experiencia encantadora que disfruté al máximo.

My husband @ronaldoprisco helped us with editing the photos; he did it with a lot of love, even though he’s not a professional either. I find the idea of being able to devote time to what you love, and with time and effort becoming increasingly talented in that area, absolutely fascinating. That’s why I was absolutely delighted to be able to help my friend continue to improve. It’s my hope that she’ll become a great photographer one day, and I’m proud to have been able to do my bit to help her fulfil her dream. More than just a dream, it’s a goal, as she’s working consciously to achieve it.

En la edición de las fotos nos estuvo ayudando mi esposo @ronaldoprisco, quien lo hizo con mucho amor, aunque tampoco es profesional. Me parece fascinante la idea de poder dedicar tiempo a lo que uno ama y con el tiempo y esfuerzo hacerse cada vez más talentoso en ese aspecto. Por ello, me alegró muchísimo poder ayudar a mi amiga para que se siga superando. Es mi deseo que logre ser una gran fotógrafa algún día, y me siento orgullosa de haber podido aportar mi granito de arena para que ella logre cumplir su sueño. Que más que un sueño, es una meta, ya que ella está trabajando de manera consciente para lograrlo.

When we’d finished, my friend came with me to catch a taxi back home; thank goodness the weather had improved and it had stopped raining. When I got home, my husband had really missed me and, as he knew I was a bit tired, he made me a lovely snack which I thoroughly enjoyed eating whilst watching a TV series with him. It’s incredible that I used to never watch TV series, but now, with my husband, I’ve got into the habit of watching them and really enjoy them. A big hug to you all. See you next time.

Cuando terminamos, mi amiga me acompañó a tomar un taxi para ir de regreso a casa, gracias a Dios ya el clima había mejorado y ya no estaba lloviendo. Al llegar a casa mi esposo me extrañaba mucho y como sabe que estaba algo cansada me preparó una rica merienda que disfruté muchísimo comer mientras miraba una serie con él. Es increíble que yo antes no miraba series y ahora con mi esposo me he adaptado a verlas y las disfruto bastante. Un abrazo grande a todos. Hasta la próxima.
