Mi primera vez en un restaurante teppanyaki (Esp/Eng)

¡Hola hivers! Deseo que estén bien y que Dios los bendiga siempre. Para mí es un gran placer compartir en esta comunidad donde nos une la pasión por la comida. En el día de hoy quiero hablarles de una linda experiencia que tuve, pues visité por primera vez un restaurante teppanyaki.

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all well and that God blesses you always. It’s a great pleasure for me to share with this community, where we’re united by a passion for food. Today I’d like to tell you about a lovely experience I had when I visited a teppanyaki restaurant for the first time.

Este estilo de cocina es originaria de Japón. Consiste en que los comensales se sientan alrededor de una plancha de acero donde el cocinero hace todo un show mientras prepara los alimentos. Fue muy impresionante ver la habilidad del cocinero al manipular sus instrumentos, era muy ágil y rápido.

This style of cooking originates from Japan. It involves diners sitting around a steel griddle where the chef puts on quite a show whilst preparing the food. It was very impressive to see the chef’s skill in handling his utensils; he was very nimble and quick.

Primero nos dieron como entrante sushi. Pude usar los famosos palitos chinos, no me fue muy fácil utilizarlos pero me agradó la experiencia. Fue algo nuevo y divertido. Una de mis partes favoritas fue cuando el cocinero comenzó a lanzarnos pequeños pedazos de comida y debíamos atraparlos con la boca. Aunque él intentó varias veces lanzarme la comida no logré atraparla pero mi esposo sí.

First, we were served sushi as a starter. I got to use the famous chopsticks; I found them a bit tricky to handle, but I enjoyed the experience. It was something new and fun. One of my favourite parts was when the chef started tossing small pieces of food at us and we had to catch them with our mouths. Although he tried several times to toss food my way, I didn’t manage to catch any, but my husband did.

Algo que me llamó la atención es que todos los que se sentaron a comer con nosotros eran nada más ni nada menos que japoneses. Ellos también se divirtieron mucho, no paraba de reír y hacer fotos.
El plato principal fue un arroz frito muy delicioso acompañado de pescado. Nunca imaginé que ver cómo preparan la comida pudiera ser algo tan emocionante. Súper recomendada la experiencia.

Something that caught my attention was that everyone sitting down to eat with us was none other than Japanese. They were having a great time too; they couldn’t stop laughing and taking photos.
The main course was a delicious fried rice served with fish. I never imagined that watching food being prepared could be so exciting. I highly recommend the experience.

De postre nos sirvieron unas crepas que hizo el cocinero en la plancha acompañadas de helado de chocolate. También estaban espectaculares. La mezcla de lo caliente de las crepas con lo frío del helado me resultó muy agradable.

For dessert, we were served some crêpes that the chef made on the griddle, served with chocolate ice cream. They were also spectacular. I really enjoyed the contrast between the warmth of the crêpes and the coldness of the ice cream.

No me puede faltar por mencionarles lo más impactante de todo. Cuando el cocinero le prendió literalmente fuego a la plancha. Vivir ese momento es algo único. Fue algo muy impresionante. I simply must mention the most striking part of it all: when the chef literally set the griddle alight. Experiencing that moment was truly unique. It was incredibly impressive.
