Our first double date (Eng/Esp)

Hello, friends of Hive. I hope you’re having a lovely day and that God blesses you abundantly. I’d like to tell you about a lovely experience I had recently. I went on my first double date with my husband. I’d never been on one before and I really enjoyed it, because we went with some of our great friends: Ena and Eduardo.

Hola amigos y amigas de Hive, deseo que tengan un bello día y que Dios los bendiga en gran manera. Les quiero contar de una linda experiencia que tuve hace poco. Fui a mi primera cita doble con mi esposo. Nunca antes había ido a una y me gustó mucho, porque fuimos con grandes amigos nuestros: Ena y Eduardo.

That morning we went to church as usual. We had a lovely Sunday service; we sang joyful hymns of praise to God, and the pastor’s sermon was beautiful, with a very profound message to reflect on in our lives.

Esa mañana fuimos como de costumbre a la iglesia. Tuvimos un servicio dominical hermoso, cantamos alabanzas a Dios muy alegres y la predicación del pastor fue muy bella con un mensaje muy profundo para meditar sobre nuestras vidas.

When we’d finished, Eduardo told us he could drive ahead to the house in his car and, on the way, the wonderful idea spontaneously came up for us all to go together to a burger joint we passed on the way. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we were looked after very well. We ordered some pork burgers, some delicious milkshakes and some sweets.

Al terminar, Eduardo nos dijo que podía adelantarnos a la casa en su auto y por el camino, de forma espontánea, surgió la maravillosa idea de ir todos juntos a una hamburguesería que nos hacía camino. El ambiente era muy agradable y nos atendieron muy bien. Pedimos unas hamburguesas de cerdo, unos ricos batidos y unos dulces.

Although all the food was delicious, the best part of all was the lovely company. We laughed a lot, shared lovely stories and created a beautiful memory for the future. I love going out with my husband, but this double date was something a bit different and we enjoyed it immensely too. It’s a fantastic idea to do this every now and then.
Something rather curious happened to us that day: some children came over to our table to give Ena and me some paper flowers they’d made themselves. I thought it was a lovely gesture that made our afternoon even more enjoyable. After that, my husband and I decided to go to the Malecón together and sit and watch the sea for a while. And what about you – do you think a double date is a good idea, or is it better to always go out just with your partner? A big hug to you all. See you next time.

Aunque toda la comida estaba exquisita, lo mejor de todo fue la agradable compañía. Nos reímos mucho, compartimos lindas historias y creamos un bello recuerdo para el futuro. Me encanta salir con mi esposo, pero esta salida doble de parejas fue algo diferente y que también disfrutamos mucho. Es una fantástica idea hacerlo de vez en cuando.
Algo curioso que nos sucedió ese día, es que unos niños se acercaron a nuestra mesa a regalarnos a Ena y a mí, flores de papel que habían hecho ellos mismos. Me pareció un lindo detalle que nos alegró aún más la tarde. Luego de eso, mi esposo y yo decidimos ir juntos al Malecón y sentarnos a ver el mar un rato. Y ustedes, ¿creen que una cita doble es buena idea o que es mejor salir siempre solo con tu pareja? Un abrazo grande a todos. Hasta la próxima.
