The city... synonymous with hustle, bustle, or mass. Whatever it is, the first thing we imagine when we think of the subject is the city's buildings as if they were gigantic trees surrounding the concrete jungle.

As I do street photography I realize that architecture calls my attention intuitively, because, in reality, I focus on people, their routine and dynamics, but implicitly behind city life, structures in one way or another shape life in society.

The architecture of the Venezuelan city in great part, (I am not an expert on the subject nor do I pretend to be), is summarized in buildings that in their time were at the forefront, but that unfortunately were trapped in time.

Nevertheless, their beauty adorns the every day, and inside there are countless stories that are (or are not) told by urban observers like me.

ESPAÑOL

La ciudad… sinónimo de ajetreo, bullicio, o masa. Sea cual sea, lo primero que imaginamos al pensar en el tema, son los edificios, como si se trataran de gigantes árboles que rodean la jungla de concerto.

A medida que hago fotografía de calle me doy cuenta que la arquitectura llama mi atención de manera intuitiva, porque en realidad me centro en la gente, su rutina y dinámica, pero implícitamente detrás de la vida en ciudad las estructuras de una u otra forma moldean la vida en sociedad.

La arquitectura de la ciudad venezolana en gran parte, (no soy experto en el tema ni pretendo serlo), se resume a edificaciones que en su momento estuvieron a la vanguardia, pero que lastimosamente se quedaron atrapados en el tiempo.

No obstante, su belleza adorna la cotidianidad, y dentro hay un sinfín de historias que son (o no) contadas por observadores urbanos como yo.
