Arroz con Costra / Rice with Crust
Hola, saludos a todos y todas desde España. Éste es mi primer post en Hive, espero que seáis benevolentes con esta principiante que promete ponerle empeño para hacerlo cada día mejor.
He elegido esta comunidad para estrenarme porque el tema de mi blog es la cocina. He tenido, y tengo, contacto con personas de distintos países que han enriquecido mis conocimientos en este campo. La receta que os traígo es Arroz con Costra, un plato típico de Elche en la provincia de Alicante (España)
Hello, greetings to all from Spain. This is my first post on Hive, I hope you will be benevolent with this beginner who promises to put effort to do better every day.
I have chosen this community to debut because the theme of my blog is cooking. I have had, and still have, contact with people from different countries who have enriched my knowledge in this field. The recipe I bring you is Arroz con Costra, a typical dish from Elche in the province of Alicante (Spain).
Ingredientes para 8 personas:
15 huevos
4 tomates maduros
1 conejo
4 salchichas blancas
4 longaniza roja
Embutido: blanco y botifarrón
Arroz, aceite de oliva, colorante, sal
4 ripe tomatoes
1 rabbit
4 white sausages
4 red sausages
Sausage: white sausage and botifarrón sausage
Rice, olive oil, coloring, salt
Como habéis visto, el embutido lo he troceado

Después de pasarlo por la sartén lo reservo para más tarde

Pasamos también por la sartén el conejo troceado. Cuando está dorado le agregamos los tomates rallados, añadimos sal y algo de colorante. A continuación añadimos el agua (yo uso como medida un basito de Danone que creo es internacional). La medida han de ser dos vasitos por comensal. En este caso, como voy a poner la cantidad de arroz que corresponde para cinco personas, serán 10 vasitos de agua, más 1 que es el que se va a consumir en el proceso de convertir el agua en un caldo sabroso. Añadimos la mitad del embutido que habíamos reservado y dejamos hervir a fuego medio. Cuando tome el aspecto que se ve en la imagen, ya estará listo para añadir el arroz y lo pondremos a fuego fuerte
We also fry the chopped rabbit in the frying pan. When it is golden brown we add the grated tomatoes, add salt and some coloring. Then add the water (I use as a measure a small glass of Danone, which I think is international). The measure should be two small glasses per person. In this case, as I am going to put the amount of rice that corresponds to five people, it will be 10 cups of water, plus 1 that is going to be consumed in the process of converting the water into a tasty broth. Add half of the reserved sausage and let it boil over medium heat. When it takes the aspect that is seen in the image, it will be ready to add the rice and we will put it to strong fire
El momento de precalentar el horno 200 grados C, arriba y abajo. Incorporamos el arroz (5 vasitos) y entre tanto se cocina...

Batimos los huevos. Los reservamos hasta que el arroz esté casi listo
Es momento de incorporar el huevo al arroz y el embutido que nos había sobrado

Inmediatamente lo introducimos en el horno, en la parte baja. Bajamos la temperatura a 180 grados C y dejamos solo el fuego de arriba

¡¡MUY MUY IMPORTANTE!! NO debemos abrir el horno durante la cocción porque impediría que el huevo subiera

Una vez salido del horno, separamos los bordes con un cuchillo y cortamos como si de una tarta se tratara
Once out of the oven, separate the edges with a knife and cut as if it were a cake
Aunque hemos puesto arroz para 5 personas, junto con el embutido y los huevos, hay comida suficiente para 8 comensales

Nunca había visto esta forma de preparar el arroz. Demás está decir que debe riquísimo y apetecible.
Tiene ingredientes por demás deliciosos así que en.casa lo más seguro es que lo disfrutemos mucho.

gracias por tu comentario y disculpa por la tardanza en contestar. Soy nueva por aqui y mi instructor se ha tomado vacaciones y no sabía ni cómo hacerlo.
En cuanto a la receta que os presenté se trata del plato típico de mi ciudad, Elche y es muy apreciado. Los embutidos no os va a ser fácil encontrar fuera de España, pero no dudo que vuestra imaginación os llevará a una variación y os quedará exquisito.
