Paper Choker

Hello friends there is certainly a lot of creativity in this prestigious community, each person who presents his work is worthy of admiration, I for the first time I come to present my work, for this I will use recycled material, as we know we must protect the environment and one way to contribute is to reuse the waste and transform it into something useful. I am going to make a paper necklace delicately elaborated and that we can use it in casual occasions, following the current fashion trend; everything is in the imagination, creativity and in how we use the colors and shapes.

To make it we must have magazine paper, with bright colors, I want to tell you that I learned this craft in a religious school many years ago, in the time I was there, in my adolescence I learned a lot of knowledge, when I learned to make it, they were my secret friend gifts, and gifts to very dear people, something small, but with much meaning to the person who received it, since, by creating it, I demonstrated with it the love and affection.

For the materials that we are going to use we must have: a magazine that you no longer use, scissors, white glue, nylon thread or elastic thread, a thick needle, a stick or another needle a little thinner to pass it through the thread and through the pieces of the necklace, beads from a choker that has been broken and finally nail varnish or any other.

The first thing we do is to cut the paper into long strips in the shape of a pennant or straight strips, here is an example.

Once we have the amount of chopped paper, we proceed to roll the paper on the stick or needle and glue at the tip, depending on how we want the necklace if short or long, we use the desired amount of paper.

Once a design has been chosen, we begin to pass it through the thread and in this way we assemble it, at the end we spread the two ends and tie several knots, then we burn the ends to seal them. We can also place a pin.

The finish of the necklace to finish we put two coats of varnish to protect it from water, once dry, and we can use it, here I also leave a sample of a bracelet, with elastic thread practical and flirtatious.

Gargantilla de Papel

Hola amigos sin duda hay mucha creatividad en esta prestigiosa comunidad, cada persona que presenta su trabajo es digno de admirar, yo por primera vez vengo a presentarles mi trabajo, para ello voy a utilizar material reciclado, como sabemos debemos proteger el medio ambiente y una forma de contribuir es aprovechar de nuevo los desechos y transformarlo en algo útil. Les voy a confeccionar un collar de papel delicadamente elaborado y que lo podemos usar en ocasiones casuales, siguiendo la tendencia de la moda actual; todo está en la imaginación, creatividad y en como utilizamos los colores y las formas.

Para realizarlo debemos tener papel de revista, con vistosos colores, quiero contarle que esta artesanía la aprendí en un colegio de religiosas hace muchos años, en el tiempo que estuve ahí, en mi adolescencia me nutrí de muchos conocimientos, cuando aprendí a realizarlo, fueron mis regalos de amigo secreto, y de obsequios a personas muy queridas, algo pequeño, pero con mucho significado hacia la persona que lo recibía, ya que, al crearlo, demostraba con ello el cariño y afecto.

Par los materiales que vamos a utilizar debemos de tener: una revista que ya no uses, tijeras, pega blanca, hilo de nylon, o hilo elástico, una aguja gruesa, un palito u otra aguja un poco más fina para pasarla por el hilo y por las piezas del collar, cuentas de un gargantilla que se haya roto y por último barniz de uña o cualquier otro.

Lo primero que hacemos es picar el papel en tiras largas en forma de banderilla o rectas aquí les muestro el ejemplo.

Una vez que tengamos la cantidad de papel picado, procedemos a enrollar el papel en el palito o aguja y pegamos en la punta, según como queramos el collar si corto, o largo, utilizamos la cantidad de papel deseado.

Escogido un diseño comenzamos a pasarlo por el hilo y de esta forma lo armamos, al finalizar untamos las dos puntas y le hacemos varios nudos luego quemamos las puntas para sellarlas. También le podemos colocar un pasador.

El acabado del collar para finalizar le colocamos dos manos de barniz para protegerlo del agua, una vez seco, ya lo podemos usar, aquí les dejo también una muestra de una pulsera, con hilo elástico practica y coqueta.
