These days, thousands of faithful devotees take to the streets to commemorate Holy Week, many are Christian activities that are carried out with faith and traditions, one of those days is Holy Wednesday, day of the Nazarene, an adored figure, represented with a wooden cross that for the parishioners is miraculous. Its history dates back to the 1600's, when the country was hit by a plague where many people died.

Una Caminata Con DevociónEn estos días, miles de fieles devotos, salen a la calle, a conmemorar la Semana Santa, muchas son actividades cristianas que se realizan con fe y tradiciones, uno de esos días es el Miércoles Santo, día del Nazareno, una figura adorada, representada con una cruz de madera a cuesta que para los feligreses es milagrosa. Su historia se remonta a los años de 1600, cuando el país fue golpeado por una peste donde murieron muchas personas.

La Iglesia para ese entonces, al no haber cura para la terrible enfermedad, un día decidió sacar al Nazareno de San Pablo del templo y pasearlo por las calles, cuando la imagen paso cerca de una casa que tenía un árbol de limones cuyas ramas salían hacia la calle, su cruz se enredó en sus ramas y cuando avanzaban se desprendieron los limones por los suelos, las personas en la procesión gritaron que era un milagro, exprimieron el jugo de los limones y tomaron su jugo, de alguna manera la gente comenzó a sanar y la peste negra fue desvaneciéndose

From that moment on, miraculous powers are attributed to the Nazarene, and every Holy Wednesday, many people dressed in purple robes visit him in the Church in exchange for his miracles, fulfill their promises. The catholic church for this day schedules its religious acts and the traditional procession that lasts about three hours and all the faithful participate in this wonderful solemn act.

Desde ese momento se le atribuyen al Nazareno poderes milagrosos, y cada Miércoles Santo, muchas personas vestidas con túnicas moradas lo visitan en la Iglesia a cambio de sus milagros, cumplen sus promesas. La iglesia católica para este día programa sus actos religiosos y se convoca a la tradicional procesión que dura unas tres horas la caminata y todos los fieles participan en este maravilloso acto solemne.

This is how the streets of the city of Caracas, are filled with joy and hope, between songs and prayers, people come together to fulfill their promises and make new requests as a miracle to heal their sick. It begins with a mass that is celebrated in a public act, where priests, government authorities and the general public attend. Once the ceremony is over, the procession begins walking along the selected route.

Es así como la calle de la Ciudad de Caracas, se llenan de alegría y esperanza, entre cantos y rezos, la gente se une para cumplir sus promesas y hacer nuevas peticiones como un milagro para sanar a sus enfermos. Comienza con una misa que se celebra en acto público, donde asisten sacerdotes, autoridades gubernamentales y el público en general. Una vez finalizada la ceremonia, comienza la procesión caminando por la ruta seleccionada.
