Visiting Gael

The arrival of a baby in the family is the greatest gift in the world. Nothing beats the birth of a baby, for the family and especially for the parents-to-be. The emotion overwhelms us so much that happiness flows through our veins. Having a child is a blessing from God; caring for and protecting them makes us responsible for their whole life. Their arrival to this world of complexities teaches us how to love them, but as time goes by, their growth gives us a lot of energy to walk with them and above all to offer them wellbeing and lavish them with love.

La llegada de un bebe a la familia es el regalo más grande del mundo. Nada supera el nacimiento de un bebe, para la familia y sobre todo a los futuros padres. La emoción nos embarga tanto que la felicidad brota por las venas. Tener un hijo es una bendición de Dios; el cuidarlos y protegerlos nos hace responsables de toda la vida. Su llegada a este mundo de complejidades nos va enseñando cómo amóldalo a él, pero mientras pasa el tiempo, su crecimiento nos va dando muchas energías para caminar con ellos y sobre todo brindarle bienestar y prodigarle de mucho amor.

Today a new nephew was born. His mother, a very young girl, came to term with her pregnancy and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. All went well; both mother and son are in good health. Gael, with his crying, spoke to announce his presence. After his birth and some time in the hospital, I retired home. These days I have not visited him, but I managed to video call him several times to talk to his mother and she has told me about his progress, fortunately he is calm, eats and sleeps, in that video call I was able to take some pictures of him, while he was being placed to greet him and I was lucky because he was very awake and I was able to get some nice pictures.

Hoy nació un nuevo sobrino. Su mama, una muchacha muy joven, llegó a su término, con su embarazo y dio a luz un hermoso bebe varón. Todo salió bien; tanto la madre como el hijo se encuentran en buena salud. Gael, con su llanto, habló para anunciar su presencia. Luego de su nacimiento y un rato en el hospital, me retiré a casa. Por estos días no le he visitado, pero logré unas videollamadas en varias oportunidades para hablar con su mamá y me ha contado su progreso, afortunadamente es tranquilo, come y duerme, en esa videollamada pude hacerle unos capture, mientras me lo colocaban para saludarle y tuve suerte porque estaba muy despierto y logre lindas fotos.

It has been eight days since Gael's birth. Today I got up early after doing some activities, I went to visit the baby, he had his first vaccines. I surprised his mommy, when I arrived, she was breastfeeding him, then he spent four hours sleeping. While he was waking up, I did a photo session. As the niece is very young, I was talking to her from my experience as a mom, she is eager to know things and how to care for and raise her baby, I thought it was nice to tell her the anecdote as a mother and what I learned despite being at that time also a first timer.

Ya han pasado ocho días del nacimiento de Gael. Hoy me levanté temprano después de hacer algunas actividades, me dispuse a visitar al bebé, ya le colocaron sus primeras vacunas. Sorprendí a su mami, cuando llegué, lo estaba amamantando, luego pasó cuatro horas durmiendo. Mientras despertaba, le hice una sesión de fotos. Como la sobrina es muy joven, le estuve platicando desde mi experiencia de mamá, ella está ansiosa de saber cosas y de cómo cuidar y criar a su bebe, me pareció bonito contarle la anécdota como madre y lo que aprendí a pesar, de ser en ese momento también primeriza.

Pero me di cuenta en el momento en que conversábamos. A pesar de ser muy joven, su instinto de madre se despertó. La suavidad con que lo agarraba, la ternura con que lo arrullaba, y la mirada enternecedora, conmovió todo mi ser. Es el milagro de la maternidad el que nos cambia ante la delicadeza de una criatura que es parte de nuestra vida. Estaba muy emocionada, al recordar todos esos momentos por los que uno pasó. Luego de comer, los dos cayeron rendidos. Dios los bendiga y dulce descanso.

The talk was very interesting, as she talked about her experience with her pregnancy, which was quite calm, at the time of delivery it was a little unexpected, as it was a few days early, and in the maternity ward she lived her experience with other girls her age, taking into account that they are all of age. Fortunately, thank God, everything went well. He is a very healthy and very hungry baby boy.

La plática fue muy interesante, ya que ella contó su experiencia con su embarazo que fue bastante tranquilo, al momento del parto fue un poco inesperado, ya que se le adelantó unos días, ya en la maternidad vivió su experiencia con otras muchachas de su edad, tomando en cuenta que son todas mayores de edad. Afortunadamente, gracias a Dios, todo salió bien. Un niño muy sano y comelón.

All the mothers of the family have focused on her, now she is the center of everything, she has to prepare herself to give health and well-being to her child, to see him grow healthy and strong, to give him the necessary assistance so that he has a better quality of life and is raised in a healthy environment, under a roof and a family that loves him, takes care of him and also pampers him.

Todas las madres de la familia nos hemos abocado a ella, ahorita es el centro de todo, tiene que prepararse para darle salud y bienestar a su hijo, verlo crecer sano y fuerte, darle la asistencia necesaria para que tenga una mejor calidad de vida y que se críen en un ambiente sano, bajo un techo y una familia que lo amen, lo cuiden y también que lo consientan.
