Hello, how are you? Last time I used for my 100 head challenge is graphite pencil and charcoal, and today I am going to give a chance to this one medium I kept denying to use, and mind you, I really like it LOL because the artists I am watching is using colored pencil and I get inspired using it so yeah the years being ignored now its time to show what it got hehe.

I am going to draw about four portraits today. Now I have a total of 9 out of 100.

Materials I Used:

  • Paper
  • Colored Pencils
  • White Pen
  • Sharpener

Draw Time!

6th Head:

First, draw the line art using any pencil color I can grab, LOL. And then I like to do the hatching method to build up the color. I started with yellow shades first.

I keep layering it lightly until I get to the desired color. This method makes it easier to build up the color because starting with too much pressure makes it hard to blend.

I like to finalize it with black just to make the part the focal point of the drawing.

7th Head:

For this next head, I like her makeup to make the circle opaque blush, so I chose her as my next reference, and then I draw her on cool red tone colored pencil and then I kind of experiment of her skin color so it is kind of weird at this part but it is going to be better and I realize that starting with darker color is better that doing it at last part.

To blend everything, I layer the skin with orange and yellow shades just like I did earlier. The hatching process really does the job in coloring.

8th Head:

This next reference she has a reddish skin tone, so I go with a red colored pencil for the line art, just like I did for the previous drawing. I added the base color first, and I like to use blue as a shadow because using black as the base for the hair makes it look flat to look at.

Then I finish it with black doe the final.

9th Head:

For the final references, I rushed this one, but I just remembered to take a photo when I started adding the base color and the final look LOL.

Final Touch:

Because adding white highlight is impossible for me, I use a white pen on them just to make the eye glow.
