adobong Manok.jpg

Hello, how are you? The heat this afternoon is no joke because it is not like a few days ago, you don't need to turn on the aircon because the weather is gloomy, but today is different, and I am thankful that my head didn't hurt that much today.

And we ate breakfast today, so I tend to cook Lunch late, so it is a relief that at that time it is not hot outside, but a few hours after is no joke, but the surprising part is that it rained hard because of the heat from earlier.

I am going to cook Adobong Manok today, mind you I cook alot and we ate that for lunch and dinner, and then they let me fry the chicken neck my cousin bought so it end up those two food have been our lunch and dinner LOL.

Whenever I am in charge of cooking adobo, I really like to fry the potato and carrots first.

I fried the potato and the carrot until it change color. I fried the potatoes longer because they're thick.

I set aside the carrots first.

And when the potato looks like this, I am going to reduce the oil from the pan, and then I will add the chicken next.

Cook the chicken until browning or some crispiness on the skin starts appearing.

Then I added the aromatics like garlic, red onion, and ginger, and I added the red bell pepper too. I sautéed them until their aroma came out.

Then I added 4 tablespoons of soy sauce.

1 tablespoon of white vinegar. To balance the taste.

18.JPG

19.JPG

2 teaspoons of sugar to balance the saltiness of the adobo.

20.JPG

21.JPG

3 chilis for spiciness.

22.JPG

23.JPG

To make the adobo taste better, I like to add a teaspoon of all-in-one seasoning.

24.JPG

25.JPG

Let every flavor seep into the chicken for about a minute, and then after that I am going to add the water.

27.JPG

I added about 3 cups of it and cooked it for about 15-20 minutes on medium heat.

After that, I added the potatoes and carrots I fried earlier and then cooked them for about 5 minutes.
