giniling na baboy.gif

Hello, how are you? The heat index today is diabolical, like 47 Celsius, are you serious? So before I go cook outside, I cook as early as I can so I can get cooking too LOL.

So it is a while since we ate giniling na baboy (pork), and I remembered that my cousin wanted me to cook it, so this is the day that the opportunity comes. So yeah, we called it Igado in Ilocano but not igado but close LOL. Sometimes you just have to cook whatever the one who buy bought right? As long as the important ingredients are there and the important is we have food to eat hehe.

Ingredients I Used:

  • 1/2 Cup Cooking Oil
  • 1 Carrots
  • 3 Potatoes
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 Bell Pepper

  • 1/4 tsp. Ground Pepper

In a hot pan, I added a tablespoon of cooking oil.

I like to fry the carrots and potatoes first and you can skip this part it is just a personal preference but highly recommended. Fry them until browning starts appearing. Set those aside for later.

Before I added the next thing, I reduce the oil and left about a tablespoon of it. Then I added the aromatic like garlic and red onion and I added the red bell pepper as well.

And then I added the ground meat in and then I added about 1/4 teaspoon of groundpepper and then cook the meat until the color change.

And then I added about 3 tablespoon of soy sauce.

To make the meat extra flavorful I added a cube of pork cube broth.

And because there is no liver, I am going to use the liver spread instead this will make everything taste devine after. I added the whole can.

Mix everything to well combine.

And then I added 2 1/2 water and let it boil for about 5 minutes in low heat.
