Cooking Blog: Tofu and Tuna Sisig

Hello, how are you? My mom used to buy tofu at our local market, but some of it is, or not most of it, sour, which is thought to be normal, but we bought a Korean brand tofu... ohhh, that's what tofu should taste like. So since then, my mom has bought only that tofu brand.

But this one is smaller than the one my mom bought from our local market, but taste better. I chose this one LOL. So I am going to make a tofu dish out of it. I don't know if it is still called sisig tofu because some ingredients are missing, so this is my own version of it.

Let's Cook!

Add half a cup of cooking oil to a hot pan, and then add a dash of salt and ground pepper. Add the cut tofu and fry it.

Flip the tofu when the other side is fried, and then I cut them into cubes just like I did in the photo. Set it aside for later.

I reduced the oil into one tablespoon and I added the garlic and red onion sauteed them until the aroma comes out set it at the side of the pan.

And then I cracked 3 eggs in the middle, and then I scrambled them until it cook.

Keep mixing until the texture turns into this.

Season it with half a teaspoon of msg and set it aside along with the tofu.

Then I added the canned tuna and cooked it until the moisture evaporated.

Then I added the tofu and egg I set aside earlier.

Add a tablespoon of soy sauce, then pour it around the pan to evenly distribute it and mix everything.

Then I added 3 tablespoons of oyster sauce.

Finish it off with ground pepper.

Serve hot and plated.
