Drawing Pears Using Oil Pastels

pearinoilpastels.gif

Hello, how are you? The weather is so hot today, and I feel like not doing anything, but because my mom bought an air conditioner, life feels easier and happier now hahaha. So it makes me at ease, and maybe a cool temperature is okay for me because every time the weather is gloomy and cold, that's the time I am highly productive.

I never thought that pears from other parts of the world are green. The usual pear here is light yellow, so it's amazing! Just like the dragon fruit here, the inside of it is plum-colored, and the other is white, which is amazing. So I decided, why not draw it? So I did!

Materials I Used:

  • Oil Pastels
  • Paper
  • Scratching Tool
  • Tissue

Draw Time!

Using green, I use it to draw the line art. I mix the whole and the cut pear so that it will look interesting to look at.

And then I added the base color using a hatching method, and I think it works, just do it lightly, and then I decided to render every pear this time so that I can focus on one by one.

And then to the next pear, I render the one at the back with just the head showing. I like to start with the darker, medium to light.

Now that I have gotten used to the shades of color I use, I decided to render everything. I really enjoy drawing pear because I really like green color too.

I decided to use a red-orange background. I started with a light press first.

Then I use my clay tool to add texture.

Before I forget, I added an accent color to it to make it look interesting, LOL.

Looking at your step-by-step drawing, it looks easy, and I was encouraged to try it myself... But your talent is quite high-level. Those additional colors and mixing, whatever you call that, make it look expensive and just wow. 😅

The pears came out wonderfully and the blending and texture from the oil pastels is so soft and natural. Nicely
