Flower On Vase In Acrylic Marker

Copy of Copy of Copy of Sugared Donut.gif

Hello, how are you? Last year, I bought an acrylic marker on sale for only 4 cents, which is free, to be honest. It was around a shopping platform on their anniversary sale, so my cousin told me to try it, and it worked.

I saw online that not using any marker for a long time may dry them iventually so that what I do I always use it so that I will not waste any of it. I am going to draw a flower using it.

Materials I Used:

  • Mini Sketchbook
  • Acrylic Marker
  • White Pen

Craft Time!

I am going to use the 3x3-inch sketchbook that I made. I am going to draw on both sides for a change. I saw an artist do it, so I got the influence to do it.

I start with line art with its respective color, and almost failed to document the line, and then I start layering the leaves first.

Next is the petals of the flower, sometimes I layer it with complementary color because some color is not opaque enough to layer it darker, and I think as I do it, it works just by being patient.

Look how the blue changes and completely blends with the orange and red I layered in. I decided to make the background brown, let's see if I am going to stick through the end.

The background turned out to be orange rather than brown, but I am going to fix it later. Before it is too late, I added some lighter color to the part I wanted to, because once I layer it with opaque color, I can never layer it lighter.

I finally filled out all the parts of the flower, and I think it is getting there.

To make the subject pop out, I decided to color the background a darker brown, so the flower is now the focus of the sketchbook.

I decided to add black line art to it.

To finalize it, I use a white gel pen to add the highlight. I think the highlights make it look better, so I am so proud of it.

This is what it looks like close up.

Added signature and year so that I know when I made this drawing LOL.

I think I really like using acrylic markers, so I might consider upgrading in the future!

Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
Please take care of your mental health as well.
I hope you are okay today :))
