Handmade Small Packaging, Recycling Cardboard Box To Help Mother Nature Just A Bit

packaging2.gif

Hello, how are you? The weather is so weird today, this afternoon is so hot, and I thought this evening was going to rain, but it’s a prank LOL.

So yeah, my head hurt so bad that I couldn’t do the things I needed to do today. My brain only functions when the weather is kind of chill, hahaha.

I still keep making handmade packaging for future use. I am going to recycle the packaging of the paper my cousin ordered.

Materials I Used:

  • Cardboard Box
  • Cutter
  • Pen
  • Jar with Water
  • Cutting Mat
  • Metal Ruler
  • Glue
  • Gouache Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Mini Spatula

Craft Time!

First, cut the cardboard into pieces by size.

I am not going to waste any of it, so I am going to make a packaging box out of these long cardboard sheets, and I think this is a perfect size for the chibi I am making.

5.JPG

6.JPG

I place the cardboard onto a cutting mat, and then I mark each side with the width of the ruler to make my life easier, LOL.

7.JPG

8.JPG

This is what it looks like.

10.JPG

11.JPG

And then I marked the middle of the cardboard, and that is my reference to where the middle of the ruler width and then mark it, just like I did on the photo.

12.JPG

13.JPG

Then I start cutting, but not totally cutting, just enough to have a slice on it. I think they call that scorching? I don't know.

14.JPG

15.JPG

Using the ruler, I fold the parts I scorched.

16.JPG

17.JPG

And the middle part too, don't forget.

18.JPG

19.JPG

This is what it looks like after folding those sides and the middle.

20.JPG

21.JPG

Then I cut the sides and then the middle just like I did on the photo, make sure to cut only the side no completely everything.

22.JPG

23.JPG

Fold the one I cut, and then I apply glue to those parts. Let that glue seep off a little bit before gluing it to the part where it is needed.

24.JPG

25.JPG

I position the top part upward, then the side, and press into the glue part. Do that to the other part.

26.JPG

28.JPG

It should look like this.

Time To Paint!

30.JPG

34.JPG

Now everything is glued together, time to paint them using gouache.

35.JPG

36.JPG

I always love to paint my packaging with sunflowers, so that's what I am going to paint. I start with the stems, I like them dry and dead today LOL. And when the stems are dried, I proceed to the petals and leaves.

37.JPG

39.JPG

I like to outline it with black gouache for the final touch.

40.JPG

38.JPG

Here is what the bottom and the inside look like.

The top and bottom.

Can't wait to use them for real!

Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
Please take care of your mental health as well.
I hope you are okay today :))

You can really make a simple cardboard into something special. Mas binigyan mo ng halaga yong cardboard, if ever I receive a thing and this cardboard with your art as a box for it, I'll surely keep it and might even flex here. Hehe. Galing galing 🌟✨🎶
